Shindou: Why?

Niko: Because I said so >¦3

Shindou: right...

Niko: ON WITH THE STORY!

Niko was awoken by a bright light coming from the necklace. Then everything went black. When she awoke again everything was white, everything but herself and the small light in the distance. "U-Umm? H-Hello?! Anyone there!?" She shouted, walking towards the light. As she walked she felt like something was.... watching her... or at least.. following her... "I-I'm not here because of something I did, right?" She called out. For what felt like hours to her, must have only been a few minutes in reality, or at least, that's what she believed... she blinked once or twice and what was once a light, was now a shrine.. Niko walked over to the shrine to be greeted by the deity, the guardian, and two familiars. (A/N: The deity is Lady Irene, the guardian is Shindou <I did say I'd include them> And the familiars are called Maria and Okari. <Okari is a male :3>) "Hello young one." Irene said bowing. "E-eh? U-Umm... hello.." Niko replied bowing back. Irene turned to Shindou, who nodded, and then to Maria and Okari, who just stared in confusion. "Shindou... do me a favour and guide her to centre of the shrine..." Irene requested. Shindou nodded as he signalled Niko to follow him, and so she did. "Try and stay close, this place is big so you'll easily get lost." Shindou told her, making sure she could keep up. "R-right!" Niko replied, running up to Shindou. "S-so... you live here... or?" Niko asked. "Actually, I'm from the human world like you" He said smiling. "O-Oh! D-do you live in Greenhorne or..?" "Neksdor. I live in Neksdor." Shindou replied. Niko looked at him in slight confusion but nodded her head anyways. "Anyways we're here." He said pointing to a room with a small light. "That's how you'll get home." He smiled. Niko nodded her head and smiled back. "Thank you very much!" "Wait! Before you go, if you are to aid your team on this quest, you need to have a role of a fighter, though at you current level... I can only give you six to choose from; the Warrior, The mage, The Thief, The Cleric, The Chef or the Spirit. Which will you choose?" He asked. Each role had a different weapon; the warrior had a sword, the mage had a wand, the thief had a dagger, the cleric had a staff, the chef had a frying pan and the spirit had will-o-wisps. "I choose.... the.... Spirit.." She replied, and with that, what was once a shrine was now darkness. "May we meet again if you come to Neksdor!" Shindou said, fading into a speck of light. "Yea!" Niko smiled. When she woke up, she was greeted by Flower, who was looking at her with a worried expression. "Oof... My head... Flower? what's up?" Niko asked, holding her head "You were asleep for quite sometime... and your clothes changed too! Everything alright?" Flower asked, kneeling next to her. Hearing those words made Niko remember what she saw. "Flower, how far is the village of Neksdor from here?" Niko asked. "Not far, Just beyond Greenhorne Castle actually. Why?" "Well... I had a dream, and there was a boy named Shindou there and he said he lives in Neksdor, I wanted to see if that's true or not!" Niko said with a shine in her eye. Flower smiled and patted her head. "Alright, but not yet ok? We still have work to do." Niko nodded with determination, the shine in her eye was still there. "Now about those clothes..." Flower said. "Oh! In the dream there was a lady called Irene, and she got Shindou to escort me to the exit, but before I left, he gave me a choice of jobs to do, so I chose the spirit!" Niko explained, making a small, blue flame come off her hand. Flower looked at it in awe as she watched and admired the swirling blue flame. "Well, Onix made breakfast so come when you're ready!" Flower smiled. "Ok!" Niko replied. As she ran to the kitchen she heard a voice in the necklace. "I see you chose the Spirit class." It was Irene. Niko's eyes widened. "I-Irene?! " She asked. "Yes it's me... I've decided to stay in here and give you advice when you need it." That's when Niko knew she had to ask. "Irene... is Shindou really from the this world?" "Yes. He was also dreaming..." Irene replied. Niko looked into the pendant to see a reflection, Irene's reflection. Then her stomach growled. "OI! NIKO WOULD YA HURRY UP!?" Onix shouted. "OH SHUT UP!! Sorry Irene." Niko said running into the kitchen.

After Breakfast

"Really?!" Elli asked in shock. "You met her grac-" She was cut off by the reflection of Irene in the pendant. "I- Wha- How- Whe-" Elli said. "A dream," Niko replied, "Last night." "So basically, that's her graces' reflection but it's like a living thing?" Onix asked curiously. "Yup." Elli looked and admired the pendant in awe as Flower giggled. Onix then turned to Niko. "Where did you get it?" He asked. "During the whole, 'Dark Lord' scenario, I guided a woman and her son away from the danger and the woman gave me it." Niko replied, explaining as best she could. Onix nodded and smiled. "I never thought I meet her grace." He mumbled. Niko smiled a little at her teammates, then at the pendant. 'When I get to Neksdor, I'll try find Shindou..'  Niko thought to herself smiling. That night, each and everyone of them slept like they haven't slept in months.
