Niko: It's finally time!

Tenma: I-I'm a p-princess!?

Tsurugi: I'm assuming I'm the knight?

Niko: Yep!

Shindou: So this is why you were so excited then...

Niko: Hehe

Tenma: *Blushing like hell*

Niko: Oh and uh.... Well...

Tsurugi: What?

Niko: There may or may not be.... a love... triangle.... between you...Tenma... a-and T-Taiyou....

Tsurugi: WHAT!?

Tenma: EHH!?!?!?!?!

Niko: H-hehe..

Shindou: Oh god....

Tsurugi: *Raging aura*

Tenma: Tsu-Tsurugi please calm down...

Tsurugi: ....fine...

Niko: ON WITH THE STORY!!!

The Next Morning

Niko woke up, bruised, scarred and burned from late night training and trying to make curry. "My head is wrecked...." She grumbled. She walked towards the kitchen til she heard sizzling. "Hm? Oh good morning Niko. I hope you don't mind but I made an breakfast using these ingredients me and Kyle got from slaying monsters. There's stuff like butterfly honey, slime jelly, goblin ham and a good bit more, but I promise they all taste amazing! There's also devil's food cake." Bobby smiled. "Ooo that does sound good! Also I hope you don't mind me asking but what's your job?" Niko asked. "Oh! Right yea, I'm a tank and Kyle's an imp!" Bobby replied. "Ah ok!" Niko smiled. "Can you two keep it down? I was trying to sleep..." Kyle groaned. "Ah sorry Kyle! I forgot you weren't a morning person!" Bobby said hugging the tired red head. 'I ship it.' Niko thought smiling mischievously. "Are you two gay?" Niko grinned. "E-eh? W-well..." Bobby giggled. "He doesn't know what he is." Kyle replied. "Oh" Niko said disappointed. Kyle laughed a bit til Bobby spoke again. "Breakfast is served!" He said smiling. "Woo! Let's eat!" Kyle and Niko cheered in unison. "You both act like you're siblings." Bobby laughed eating. "Woah Bobby you were right this is really good." Niko smiled. "Glad to hear you like it! I tried that recipe there mixed in with my own special ingredients." He said pointing towards a small piece of paper. "Hm? Hey that's Elli's curry recipe!" Niko said shocked. "Curry? Huh.. That's why it had a tangy flavor." Kyle said getting seconds. "Niko we should head to the village hall" Irene said. "Oh that's right! Kyle, Bobby we're heading to the village hall cmon!" Niko said smiling. "Hai!" Bobby replied. The three of them ran (Er well Kyle flew) towards the village hall to get permission to get through Greenhorne castle.

After Compromising with the mayor.

"We actually did it!" Niko smiled. 'Just wait for me Shindou! Not long now!' The three of them began walking towards the palace when they saw one of the guards. "Excuse me but you're not aloud beyond this point." He said. Niko reached into her pocket and pulled out the deeds that the mayor gave her. "Permission from the mayor? Alright then. Go ahead." The guard said handing back the paper. "Thank you!" Niko smiled walking into the castle. "It's so big!!" Bobby said in amazement. "Right!? It's a castle for crying out loud!" Kyle said. The three of them walked through the castle til they felt rumbling. "The ground is shaking! Is it an earthquake!?" Niko questioned. *Thump* "What was that!?" Bobby asked. "The king of Greenhorne, King Foroki." Kyle replied folding his arms. "How do you know?" Niko asked curiously. "I have my ways of information." Kyle smirked. "Hello. *nom nom* what brings you to my castle? *munch munch*" King Foroki said. "We wish to get to the village of Neksdor please your highness." Niko replied. "Hmmm.... maybe if you did a few tasks for me *munch munch* I might let you.. *chomp chomp*" He said. "Oh good grief..." Kyle sighed. "Ok what do you want?" Bobby asked. "My daughter (or son because it's Tenma) is just through that door. Could you check on her (or him..??) for me?" King Foroki asked. "Ok" Niko said opening the door to the princess's room. The three of them were blocked however by the princess's guard; Tsurugi. "What is
your business here?" He asked in a cold, heartless voice. "Well King Foroki asked us to check on his daughter." Kyle said since the other two were too scared. "*sigh* damn scaredy cats." He scoffed. "Father asked?" Princess Tenma asked. "Wait hold on.... something doesn't add up... you're his daughter but you- never mind I'll be back in a moment." Niko said walking off. Curious, Tenma followed her. "Matsukaze!" Tsurugi said going after the princess while Kyle tried to calm down Bobby. "Irene what's going on? Tenma is a princess but she looks like a boy!" Niko said sitting against a wall, unaware that her highness and her guard were listening. Then a projection of Irene from inside the pendant appeared. "Well my dear," she said sitting down. "All is not as it seems. The princess is a male however his father doesn't know that." Irene explained. "So it's all an act then?" Niko asked. "Not exactly, after all, you are the puzzle master are you not? If you are then this is no problem for you." Irene smiled. "You're right! I am the puzzle master!" Niko smiled. "Puzzle master?" Tenma asked. "Ah! Princess! You scared me. You and your knight!" Niko said placing her hand on her heart to get a breath. "Sorry" Tenma smiled. "It's fine" Niko replied. "Puzzle master?" Tsurugi asked. "Yep! That's me!" Niko replied. "Have you ever left a puzzle unsolved?" "Oh please! A true gentleman never leaves a puzzle unsolved!" "Gentleman?" "You heard me! I may be female but I'm still a gentleman in training and at heart!" "Right....." Tsurugi just looked at Niko, thinking about what she just said as Tenma looked at her in amazement. 'She's not scared to embrace her nature....' he thought. "What's your name?" Tenma asked looking at her. "Niko! Niko Le Cometa! Pleasure to make your acquaintance!" She smiled, before fixing her gaze on Tsurugi. She looked at him straight in the eyes, wondering if there was even any light in them at all. To her, Tsurugi seemed emotionless and a large threat. She shook her head, trying to focus on what other favors the king had before collapsing onto the floor. "Niko!? Are you alright?!" Tenma called, kneeling down beside her. "Stay back Matsu-" He was cut off. "No! Tsurugi she needs help!" Tenma said, tears in his eyes. Tsurugi looked away but then at Tenma. "Alright.. lets help her." Tsurugi said, a soft smile on his face. Tenma nodded as Tsurugi lifted up the puzzle solver.
