It was Mattia? 

Julie: My Mattia? 

Mariano: Yes, your friend Mattia

Julie: But I never suspected him to be... 

Mariano:  I know you didn't but he is. 

Julie: Shouldn't we be at the hospital, checking up on him at least?

Mariano: It's ok, his mom came an hour ago to the hospital so he's safe. 

Julie: How do you know that?

Mariano: He texted me when he woke up. 

I couldn't believe it, Mattia that guy, no way, I never thought of him as someone who spent his time doing such things. Then how did no one ever notice but they knew that Mariano was doing this. I thought to myself. 

POV: Mariano:

 I saw the worry in her eyes, the multiple questions, she thought about but didn't want to ask me. 

I was mostly worried about Mattias's reaction if he found out that Julie knew about it.

Julie: How come that you started selling or delivering drugs in a first way?

That question that I was scared that she would ask me. I became silent. She held up the cold cloth onto my bruised, bloodied cheek.

POV: Julie

I knew directly I shouldnt have asked that, 

Julie : Im sorry, I. 

He interrupted me and placed his hand on mine. 

Mariano: Julie, I'm sorry I shouldn't have made you involved in this. I didn't mean this to happen. I know you want to know everything and you will soonly by time pass by, I promise. But I can't. 

I was surprised by the words I heard that came from his mouth. He looked at me reaching for a hug and started pouring his eyes out. At this point, he was sitting down had his head buried in my stomach while I was standing up trying my best to comfort him. 

Those once before cold, emotionless eye contacts were just the surface of the buried emotions he had held back. 

He wiped the tears from his face and looked at me once again. 

Mariano: I. 

Before he could say anything, I said Mariano please don't go out again. I can't lose you.  Please don't do it for me, you'll be safe here. 

 Mariano: I'm sorry but I have to see Mattia.  If I don't, I wouldn't know who I would call myself to him, not a friend at least. I would do anything for him, Julie. I'm sorry but I'll be back. 

I nodded and was scared of his life to walk out of that door. 

But he looked at me, came closer held me by my waist and kissed me. The most passionate I ever have gotten from him. Don't worry, I will be back. 

He let go of me and closed the door. And rushed in his car to the hospital. 

POV: Mariano 

To be honest, I didn't know if I was going to die tonight, the Santos could be anywhere, everywhere to get me. If that would be my last goodbye to Julie, I knew I did the best I could. 

I rushed to the hospital running to the room that Mattia was placed in. 

Mattia: Did you hide the money? 

Mariano: I patted myself, Oh, shit. 

Julie: I went back to the closet where I put my phone and I took up Mariano's jacket. Then multiple stacks of money fell down from it.
