Bakugo's P.O.V
I woke up and grabbed my phone. It was early morning. My weekly cheek up is always early on weekends unless the doctor is out then it's moved to next week. I wasn't able to get my weekly cheek up for a couple weeks cause my doctor went on vacation as well as other things. I already know am dying so skipping a couple of weeks won't change my out come. I got dressed. Blue jeans, black shirt and an orange sweatshirt. I brush my teeth in the small bathroom. I mean why even have weekly cheek ups? Am going to die anyway and it's hella annoying. I washed my face then brushed my hair.
I made my way to the Kitchen for a quick breakfast. Scrambled eggs and toast. I sat down and ate as the sun's rays filters in through the windows. No one was up this early especially on weekend's. Some left yesterday to spend it at home while others stayed. I washed my dishes when I heard the elevator doors open and close. I lift a brow. Who would be up this early? "Oh hey *yawn* good morning Bakugo" said Kirishima walking in as he rubs his eyes. His hair was down and he was shirtless. He only wore some Crimson Roit PJ bottoms. His hair was also a mess. I bet with the crying yesterday he went straight to bed yesterday, no wonder he's up.
"Morning" I said puting away the dishes. "You leaving?" Said Kirishima looking at me. "Uh yeah, old hag wants me over for a bit" I said drying my hands. Kirishima nods. "Oh..well you want to hang out later?" He asked walking up to me. I turn to fully face him. "Why do you need help with your homework?" I said lifting a brow. He chuckled. "You caught me..yeah I got stuck on it yesterday" said Kirishima smiling. "Fine" I said walking past him. I heard him sigh as I walked out of the kitchen. I walked down the steps when my phone buzzed in my pants. A text from mom, she's already waiting at the front gate.
I got in and we drove off the the hospital. I sighed and slouch in the back seat. Mom looked back at me through the mirror. "How did yesterday go?" She asked. "Terrible...I..it was too much" I said looking out the window. "I knew it would be. Did you have an attack?" She asked as she stops at a red light. "Almost.." I lied. She looks back at me. "That's good, you haven't had one in a while so maybe your getting better?" She said smiling. I looked out the window again and noticed we were pulling in to the parking lot. Here goes nothing I guess.
We walked in together and went to the front desk. "You have an appointment?" Asked the lady. "Yeah Bakugo Katsuki" said mom. She nods and starts typing. "Alright you can go sit the doctor will be with you shortly" she said with a smile. We sat down and watched the people come and go. A few minutes later the doctor walked up to us. "How are you doing Bakugo?" He asked with a smile. Terrible. "Fine" I said as I followed him I to the room. Mom waited outside for me. I don't like it when she comes in, it reminds me of..yeah. I sat down and the doctor typed in some stuff. He asked some questions.
"Feeling depressed or down lately?" He asked. "No" I lied. He nods and types down my answer. "Have you been skipping meals?" He asked. "No" I said looking down. All this just to tell me am still dying. "Have you been.. having any attacks ?" He asked. "No" I lied. He nods and types down the answer. "Alright am going to take a blood sample and test your hearing" said the doctor like we haven't done this before. I nod. He gets up and grabs a needle. I stick my arm out and he wraps a cloth thing around it. He adjusted the needle and it stabs into my skin. I watched it suck in my blood. He pulled it out and dabs at the blood before putting a band-aid on it.
He left the room to go get the blood tested. He came back in and grabs the hearing thing. We test both ears with and without hearing aids. He writes down things then types down the results. He hums and types more as we wait for the results from the lab. "Since it's been a while we should do a scan as well" he said a he looks at his laptop screen. I sighed and nod. He leads me out of the room and down the hall. We walked in then I took my sweatshirt and shirt off. I laid down on the scan table and the circle machine hums on. The doctor guides it forward and it scans. He taps on a screen and he frowns. He took the tablet off the connecter and walked out the room.
I put my shirt and sweatshirt on then walked out. I made my way back to the room and wait for the results. I play on my phone after a few minutes went by. Then thirty minutes went by. "What's taking so long?" I asked out loud. It's never taken this long. Did the machine break down or something? The doctor walked in with a stack of papers and his face was full of pity. Fuck I already know am dying man. He clears his throat. "You might want to bring you mother in" he said softly. I lift a brow and shook my head. "Ok, well we have the results back. It's ...no good. We had to keep retesting to make sure" he said sitting down. "Your..it's mutated. You no longer have untill age twenty seven. You only have two years to live..but if it mutated again...six months" he said putting the papers down to look at me.
