15. LOVE ADVICE

15th of December

It was around 6 a.m. and Gun was looking at his half-alive face in the mirror. He couldn't sleep a wink last night because of many reasons. 

Firstly his mind was getting more insane each passing day creating some scenarios which caused his heart beating madly and making him unable to calm down.

Secondly, the small guy couldn't stop the dangerous thoughts from coming and honestly it was not like he tried much. 

Thirdly there was less space in bed because of his new toy and its presence was running more thoughts in his brain.

Gun cleaned his face and put on some eye-cream to fix the puffiness. The last thing he needed was somebody noticing his tiredness. He looked one more time straight into his reflection, put his hand on the chest and closed the eyes for a second to open them right after he recalled his dream. 

It was real. His heart was beating loudly.

Again.

" Really?" Gun laughed leaning back at his chair and facing New who had just ended his story.

" I'm not lying. From long best friends to lovers, they're so lucky."

The small guy smiled and bit his lip slightly thinking how should he smoothly start the topic. New seemed to be the most reliable person who was close enough to him and could give him some wise advice but he couldn't bring himself to speak straightforward so he used the old method.

" Yeah, very lucky unlike a friend of mine..."

New stopped staring at his phone and looked at him with his eyebrows rosen.

" What's with her?"

" She developed the feelings for someone she had hated before and it was not one-sided." Gun tried to speak emotionlessly and simultaneously doing something on his laptop to not be so obvious.

" You mean now it's not one-sided crush or hate?"

" She doesn't know."

There was silence for less than six seconds but Gun was already nervous waiting for response. New sighed, stood up, took a chair next to his desk and closed the small guy's laptop.

" So you like P'Off?"

Gun glanced at him with his eyes wide open.

" NO!" he spoke but nodded. His body was responding faster. " and I didn't save it!" he pointed at the laptop and spoke using an angry voice.

New laughed seeing that reaction and stroked his hair.

" You were just staring at the screen and writing nothing for almost half an hour. Just go for it, don't think too much. P'Off is a decent guy and from what I can observe something has definitely changed."

Gun covered his face in hands and leaned on his elbows.

" We were fighting cats and dogs week ago." he murmured not sure if he wanted to speak loud his doubts.

" So?"

" What do you mean so?! We hated each other."

" First - you're using past tense. Second - Love and hate are both strong emotions, some people even say the line between them is pretty vague."

" I'm not sure about that."

" Think positive..."

Gun stared at him hoping that he would speak something breakthrough that could help the situation. New smiled mysteriously and waved his hand for Gun to come closer so he could whisper the answer.
