9. DEJA VU

9th of December

Gun took Chloe advice but he didn't manage to bring it to life since yesterday he didn't run into Off in the company not even once. Apologizing through social media was not really his way so he answered the Off's message about today's event with a short "ok".

As planned they got to the mall separately. He was checking the camera and microphone when someone touched his back and he heard the familiar voice.

" I didn't expect to meet you here, Gun." he turned around to see the brunet was broadly smiling.

" Joss!" he quickly jumped to hug the old friend. " You're in a security company?"

" Yup. That's my job." he made a gesture showing his working suit.

Joss is a well-built man, no surprise he would be a great choice for securing the event. You could also see some girls checking him out and taking pictures of his handsome face. Gun would lie if he told you he never felt any attraction to him, especially when he was casting such a perfect smile.

But that wasn't important right now. The accidental meeting was luckier because Joss could help them get close to the stage. Gun was now impatiently waiting for Off to arrive who would certainly admire his net of connections which would make huge progress in their task. Although he was talking with Joss, updating on their present life he occasionally looked around checking if the older guy was near.

" ... you really think you could help me?" he gently grabbed Joss's elbow looking straight into his eyes, showing his dimples with a broad smile. " I would be soo grateful."

His friend shortly looked at the grip and agreed with a head shake smiling saying it wouldn't be a problem. In a moment the tall guy came next to them. Off dropped his bag saying no words giving them a cold stare. Gun could literally feel a chill down his spine.

" Joss, this is my coworker I had mentioned before - P'Off." he made a quick gesture " P'Off - this is my friend from university Joss."

Off's stare quickly ran from toe to top of his head. Joss seemed to be a bit taller than him, he certainly had more muscles, he was wider, his posture was showing confidence and strength.

To Gun's surprise, his past superior quickly reached out his arm to meet with a handshake. He even smiled slightly making it all polite and normal. As expected, Joss was very friendly and had a short talk with them about their work and event.

Then Joss had to go back but promised to give them a sign to come to him at the right moment because they didn't want to interrupt the fans like the last time. Before he left he shortly stroked Gun's hair casting a playful smile which didn't miss Off's stare.

" Have you checked the sound?" Off turned on the camera.

" Yes. It's fine." his sight wandered around the crowd that was gathering. He truly wanted to throw the burden of remorse as fast as possible so he just went straight to the point. "P'Off what I said last time about... you know. It was too much, I crossed the line..." Gun looked back at Off who was calmly listening. " I'm sorry about that."

" It's okay. Let's forget it." Off stared at him and the small guy first time could see something new in his expression. " We were both exhausted and irritated. I didn't mean it too."

Gun felt like he misheard. The tall guy was just admitting his mistake. What? He imagined the whole situation before he decided to took Chloe's advice but that reaction overcame his weirdest predictions.
