In a dimension in which peace once existed between humans and elves, a tremendous misfortune happened, whereby the elf race split in a good-natured kind, the high elves, and in a violent kind, the dark elves.

Over time, these divided again, so that there are a total of six different types of elves.

Saelind nervously tugged on her white elegant dress.
She put on the best cloth she could find in the closet.
Actually, she wasn't the type to dress up a little more chic, even wear some sort of accessories.
The large and long necklace around her neck laced up the air.
Well, today was not a normal day when she was taking care of the house, going shopping, collecting things in the forest, or taking care of her work.
No, today was a special day, a day that she had longing for. Still, she sat nervously on the sofa, waiting which just strained her nerves.
Slowly she started tapping with her fingertips on her thighs until she came up with an idea: Wine.
It would calm her down, and besides, today was a special occasion.
Her husband finally came back from his one-year long expedition.

So she got up and made her way to the kitchen.
With each step the smell of vegetable casserole became stronger which sizzled in the oven.
Only for him she picked rare vegetables from the forest to cook his favorite meal.
Cook, she hasn't cooked in a long time. It is not as if she couldn't or was too lazy, but she didn't see the purpose when she was alone.
A simple apple was enough for her.
Saelind stood at the counter and reached up to a shelf to take out two pretty colorful glittering glasses from the corner, while next to her, the stove spend some warmth to her right leg.
With her left arm, she pulled the wine on the counter a little closer and then reached into a drawer to pull out a corkscrew.

The young lady raised her hand to put a strand of her silver hair behind her ear. Actually, she hated leaving her hair open, it was so impractical, but her husband loved it all the more.
She took a bottle of wine and rotated the corkscrew into the cork and started pulling it out.
With the popping of the cork, Saelind also heard the door close.
Excitedly, she poured some of the lovely rose into the glasses and put the bottle back on its place.
"Honey, you're just in time."In a hurry and full of anticipation, she ran back to the living room. "I just opened the wine and-"
Saelind interrupted herself and froze in her movement when she saw her husband.

It felt like time would stop.
Suddenly she felt weak, so weak that her knees became wobbly, the feeling went out of her feet and she couldn't find any strength in her hands to hold the glasses.
The glasses made it equal to her heavy heart, and shattered into a thousand small pieces.
The cause of this situation got awakened by the bang generated by the impact on the ground.
It narrowed its eyes, took a deep breath and started screaming while salty tears ran down the pink cheeks.

Saelind's eyes were wide open, she was too shocked to say something.
She grabbed tightly on her left breast, trying to ease the pain of her heartache, not knowing if it's caused by her too hard bumping heart or the feeling of betrayal.
Her lungs burned, she kept trying to breathe air, but it was like there was no oxygen around her.
She got dizzy and had to lean against the wall to not tip over.
Her husband rocked the baby while taking a few steps towards her.
She stopped him by holding out her hand. "No." Her voice was quiet and shaky, while the word only came out as a little whimper.

"Please, let me explain." His small (e/c) eyes looked at her slightly desperate. Fear and panic were reflected in them.
She stood there for a moment when she slowly lowered her hand and let him closer to her.
Deep down, she knew there was a good explanation for it.
He looked nervously down at the little baby, who was wrapped in a light green wool blanket."W-we found her in the forest, nobody had the courage to take her, so I-I just thought that it could be a good idea-..I mean, we would be a little family."He stuttered fast. "You never got pregnant..."
Saelind heart hurt even more that he reminded her, besides she could hear his heart beating faster and harder.
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead and he licked strangely over his lips, a tick he always made when he was lying.
