Y/N's POV
"Yo Y/N"
I look up to a tall figure standing above me
It was just the person i was looking for
...
"Huening Kai" I greet him as he looks at me confused
"Whatcha doing here?" Huening Kai asks me confusion clearly on his face as he sits down next to me-still heaving heavily
...
He was sweating.
How many miles did he run...?
"Well?" Huening Kai speaks again as I snap back to reality
"Its your day today."
"Ah-you shouldve told me sooner" Huening Kai flicks my forehead playfully scolding me
I smile-a little tiny smile, "sorry"
"Sorry my ass" Huening Kai scoffs as he stands up, "run some miles with me"
...
And thats how we ended up running ten miles.
(An impossible feat for someone like me - A/N)
"Not bad Y/N, you can make more than five miles now without having a pained expression" Huening Kai runs next to me on our tenth mile playfully talking to me
"Oh shut up" I allow myself to smile though, fully knowing what he's talking about
But to think about it..
He wasnt wrong
I have managed to gain more stamina
"Thank you" I say as we stop to catch our breath and go sit at the bleachers they had out.
"For?" Huening Kai looks at me surprised
...
"Your the one who motivated me to increase my stamina" I look away from him slightly embarrassed, "so thank you."
Huening Kai laughs, "so you're thanking me for motivating you..."
Suddenly he appears in front of me-startling me to the point i move back slightly
"Your expression right now is priceless Y/N" Huening Kai continues laughing as I just glare at him
"Oh shut up"
"Now now, that's not how you treat someone who helped you~" Huening Kai says smirking as he knew it was affecting me
i groan wagging my second finger at him
"Should've never told you"
"Shouldve thought before telling dear~" Huening Kai continues to laugh at me his eyes lighting up with amusement.
...
I smile and laugh along with him,
Letting all my stress to relieve away,
Allowing myself...
To feel truly safe for once
It is a wonderful feeling.
"Your laughing again Y/N" Huening Kai smiles as I smile back at him
"Yeah. i am." I turn away from him looking at the other people running the track, "I don't regret coming back."
"How about leaving in the first place?" Huening Kai asks looking at the runners too
"..."
Do I?
I...i definitely dont regret coming back but..
Leaving them that day...
"No." My voice seemed to speak before my mouth even opened as I look at Huening Kai, my eyes serious, "I don't regret it."
Huening Kai just smiles as if he was ready for that response and predicted it
But still I felt guilty.
"Don't get me wrong now" I said sighing shaking my head slightly, "I love being back here and all and missed you guys truly but..."
I pause looking at Huening Kai-who looked back at me his expression unreadable
"I felt and still feel like that leaving...it gave me a break I desperately needed"
Huening Kai nods, "don't worry-I understand"
I sigh in relief as I nod my head towards him, "thank you"
"You're awfully smiling, laughing, and saying sorry a lot today" Huening Kai comments as I hear that signature teasing rise in his voice, "you sure you ARE Y/N?"
Guess I'll go have some relief fun.
Its been way too long
"What do you mean?" i feign innocent as he shakes his head at me, wagging his left second finger at me
"Y/N hasn't laughed like this in so long, you could be a doppelgänger." Huening Kai clears his throat and fixes his make believe glasses as I start laughing at him
I clear my throat too
"Good deduction detective but what of it" i said trying to hold in my laughter
"I demand you give me Y/N back"
"You wish-you'll have to catch me first!" I launch myself forward-running to the track again as I hear footsteps behind me
I slipped past people, ducking and jumping while running zigzags allowing my instincts to take over as I try to go faster
I managed to be able to beat him for a while but just as I started to try to maintain my breath-I felt a hand grab me and soon I was removed from the track and in someone's arms.
"Caught you~" a voice above me said as I just stare wide-eyed in front of me, trying to catch my breath.
"Damn..."
Huening Kai just laughs at me as I struggle to catch my breath
"Save your insults" he says
I just glare at him in response
"Look how fast time flew" Huening kai looks at his watch before smiling at me, "I take it you drove here?"
"Yeah."
"Then see you soon~" huening kai starts to walk away from me as I sit down on the floor closing my eyes
Suddenly I get a text message and I open it curious why he texted me.

I just smile and shake my head, standing up to head to my car.
Y/N: yeah, you too.
