"Y-you what?" You ask.
"I'd like to come with you and (F/N). Would you not like me to come?" Your father repeated.
"No! No, it's not that at all. It just caught me off guard since music halls with fortune tellers and singing didn't strike me as your fancy." You reply.
"Well, generally it's not. But all of my own friends have been going and it seems it's gained some traction lately. I'm just curious as to what the fuss is about." Your father relaxed in his chair. You decided to pull up a seat beside him.
"Well father, that was my partial reasoning too, along with (F/N)s incessant begging. And now I believe I'm hooked as well." You admit with a laugh.
"Really? It's that enjoyable? Tell me what's just so enjoyable that it hooked you in, (Y/N)?" Your father asked, genuinely surprised.
"To be honest, the fortune teller. He was immensely accurate, almost to the point it was frightening, no, not almost, it was to the point of frightening." You giggle nervously. "And after you get your fortune told, he gives you a bracelet made entirely of silver for no charge in the slightest."
"That's not true! It can't be!" Your father yelled, confounded.
"I can prove it!"
"Then please do so!"
You pull up your sleeve to reveal the bracelet latched on your wrist. "It's pure silver." You say firmly. "I didn't believe it at first either, but almost everyone there has one almost just like mine. Even (F/N) does!"
"I'm not sure what to say...that's too strange to comment on. Why do you say 'almost just like yours'?" Your father tries to get the strange subject changed.
"Because, according to Blav- the fortune teller- we are all under the divine protection of a star. Polaris, Vega, Canopus, Sirius. (F/N) is under the protection of Vega. I'm apparently under protection of the rarest star, Sirius." You explain.
"How intriguing..."
~That evening~
"I think tonight, the Starlight Four will be performing!" (F/N) entushed. "It looks like a cult at first, but I promise it's not! (*cue John Cena* "Are you sure about that?") It's just the way they preform."
"Okay..." You and your father speak in unison. You walk into the music hall.
"So...what was (Y/N)s fortune?" He asked (F/N), despite you being right next to him.
"Her inability to find someone who would like to court her, or find anyone she wants to court." (F/N) laughs.
Your face gets warmer. "No one wants to court me. I don't know why he's saying that 'I'll find the perfect one soon'"
"Oh?" Your father says.
"The fortune teller told me that I'll find the perfect one to court me soon." You elaborate.
"Did he ever say that whoever this perfect one is would marry you?" Your father asked.
"He never said so explicitly." You reply, crossing your arms.
"Well, I'm going to get my fortune told." Your father smirked and walked over to Blavat's little set up. You and your friend join the crowd. A man had just got finished with getting his fortune told. "May I go next?" Your father asked.
