Chapter 13

"Y/N...?"

You looked up at who called your name, your heart jumped,

"Spinel?"

- We continue Now, After Months -

You looked at the hot pink haired girl, she was lanky and a few inches shorter than you. She was wearing a black shirt that said " I don't wheelie, I heelie." Shirt over a long sleeved black and white striped shirt. She wore black ripped skinny jeans that sagged around her waist and her shoes that looked to be customized heelies.

You gave the her a sheepish smile as you held the tired yet happy puppy that caused you trouble. You quickly moved the puppy to one arm and fixed you tank top and hair(if you don't have hair ignore that part) before you rubbed your neck.

You both stood in awkward silence, before spinel snickered at you, causing you to flush with embarrassment,

"Oh, so this is way you ditched our date!" She said with a cheeky grin and half lid eyes, you looked at her in terror,

"Oh god, terrible puns, my worst nightmare!"

Spinel only grinned more as she looks down at her date,

"Ya know, when you didn't show up, I thought, "It's fine, they are running late" then I get a message from you saying you're gonna be late, with a picture of a toy store, then I thought this has to be a sick joke!"

"W-why did you think t-that?"

Spinel smiled at you,

"Because I live and work at that toy store and is where I told you to meet me"

Your face flared again, but spinel continued on,

"So I waited for you to come in, I was watching at the window waiting, but then you started taking off clothes, and I couldn't look away, then you up and walked into the woods, in 40 degrees weather, now here we are!"
She smirked at you, you smiled sheepishly and looked at her blushing,

"You uh...gonna help me out?"

She laid on the ground and reached down, holding her long arms out ready to grab pumpkin and you.

The walk back to spinel's toy shop was quiet, but in content. You held her hand and smiled, she returned with a bashful one and red cheeks. Pumpkin was in your other arm while spinel held the light. When you made it back, your clothes weren't there. You muttered a curse before spinel laughed a little,

"I put them in the dryer before I went after ya, didn't want anyone stealing them, plus it probably would feel better after being in the cold."

You sighed in relief, and thanked spinel before walking across the shirt and into the toy shop.

The warm air hugged you tightly and invaded your nose with the scent of chocolate. You felt as if a childhood you never had was placed here, your eyes shined with admiration for everything. You snapped out of it when Spinel let go of your hand. You sat down pumpkin who ran upstairs while you waited for spinel to finish locking up her store,

"Come on, let's head upstairs so you can get warmed, you're skin must be freezing"

You blinked in realization, your skin was burning hot with heat, like the weather didn't affect you,

"Uh nah, I'm actually really hot, maybe the adrenaline..?"

Spinel looked at me with a "are you fucking stupid" look before facepalming,

"That's the final stage of hyperthermia, you dumbass"

You looked at her confused as you started to mess with your tank top, ready to take it off because of how hot you felt,
