3,000 words for what? This a long ass chapter. Excuse the mistakes, I got tired mid-edit.

"Mommy! You should've told me you were coming." I smiled as I hugged her

"Hey baby, what happened to your wrist?" She asked, seeing a long scratch on my lower wrist

I folded my arms, "Oh, I accidentally scratched myself." I said, though Sabrina was the reason for the scratch.

"I would've settled a deal on you two a place sooner had I knew y'all were coming so soon." I said

"No, we aren't moving down today. We haven't made our decision yet, Anaya is giving us a hard time. But, we wanted to surprise you, we weren't even supposed to be coming down this way but George wanted to travel an hour and a half to come get some damn weed, so I said why not drive an extra thirty minutes and come see my grand babies." She smiled

"You hid my other shit I deserved this drive." He said and rolled his eyes then went to go talk to Chris.

I chuckled, "Hey, dad." I smiled as he walked away

He turned around with a smile and waved.

Luckily Anaya didn't come along!

"Are you two staying the night or...? Because I was going to order out, I can place an extra order." I said

"Yeah, only because it's late and once George gets high and night comes he acts like his vision becomes impaired and I told him I'm not driving."

"Okay, good! Now where are my grand babies?" She asked

"Well Royalty is in there playing with a game and Ai'marie is asleep." I said

"Let me go bother them!" She excitedly said and ran upstairs

I went into the kitchen and finished up the dishes until I heard someone knock on the door.

I walked back to the door,

"Hi, are you India Varma?" A officer asked

"Um, yeah." I answered

"And does a Christopher Brown and Lauren London also reside here?" He asked

"Wassup?" Chris asked as he walked up

"Lauren doesn't live here." I replied

The other officer requested for Lauren's address over the walkie talkie.

"We have reason to believe that both you and Christopher Brown are people of interest in the disappearance of Sabrina Eason. I would like for you two to come in for questioning." The officer said

I looked to Chris, "Coo.." he said

"Can you give us a second though? We do have a newborn baby and another daughter, we just gotta go talk to her parents." Chris said

"Take your time." The officer said and they stepped in. I closed the door and followed Chris upstairs.

We went into our bedroom and closed the door.
