"OKAY, SERIOUS QUESTION." Victoria spoke up, following behind Abner and Aaron, who were both walking beside the large, dappled Clydesdale.

"What's that?" Abner was the first to answer her.

"Okay, but just hear me out—" She started, a sheepish, almost awkward smile forming on her lips. "If we don't have anyone from Grosvenor with us, how's your confidence now with us actually tracking this thing?"

Abner delayed at giving answer. He wasn't even too sure about that, himself. Before he could even attempt to explain how he felt, Aaron chortled in a mocking manner ( lightheartedly, of course ).

"You wound me." He joked. "I know I wasn't originally in favor of this whole quest, but now that this is a rescue mission, I've made it mandatory. I'll try to track like I used to." Aaron concluded.

"Really?" Emery perked up, as did Clyde and Abner.

"Really...?" Victoria echoed. She sounded a bit skeptical, rather than excited.

"Really. After all, like I always say; once a hunter, always a hunter!"

"That's not what you said when I proposed we do this the first time." Clyde accused.

Aaron glanced back at Clyde with a quirked eyebrow. "It isn't?"

"Nope." Emery interceded.

Clyde even shook his head.

"You actually said that you're not a hunter — that you used to be one."

"Oh...well, I'm saying it now. Starting now! Once a hunter, always a hunter."

Victoria and Clyde chuckled in disbelief and amusement.

"Whatever you say, Aaron." Abner taunted.

It brought relief to smile and joke around after so much tension and fear. They savored the lightheartedness because they all knew it wouldn't last forever.

Miles of walking had rewarded the five of them to the return to Grosvenor. Everyone inside the village recognized the group from before, and this time, some of the nomads even stopped what they were doing to face the travelers. They watched them pass by. Their solemn faces weren't unwelcoming, but it left a heavy feeling on Clyde's chest. These people were counting on them to bring three members of their family back; to bring back three members of their home back.
