the whistle blow and the game began.
jaehyun was easy to snatch the ball from opponent once umpire threw the ball in the air.
a slick like cat move,
something they never see in a game,
he was relax.
two of his opponent, mark and jisung came closer to him. without struggling much, he changed his positions as he spotted his teammates, si cheng, the multiart teacher was free.
throwing the ball to si cheng, they earned 3 points as si checng swiftly made a goal.
a loud cheer coming from the girls amd somewhere between them, jaerin was quietly watching, looking so uptight.
the ball was in renjun's hands now. he was pretty much aggresive. instead of passing the ball, he decided to to bump all the way to the ring but yugyeom, the art teacher was quick enough to block the ball from entering the ring.
the crowd, especially boys let out a scream.
yugyeom passed the ball to si cheng and with ease, he brought it up to jaehyun who was waiting for the ball, so close to the ring.
with a quick gesture, they earned another 2 points.
"focus." renjun shouted at mark.
this time, mark controlled the game. all of then was already sweating and sort of cathing their breath.
yugyeom was not a patient man. he took the ball from mark and bumped his way up to the ring.
after a quick observation, renjun finally undertand the strategy. he quickly run and blocked jaehyun from the front. before jaehyun could give a sign to yugyeom, the ball was already in the air.
without second thoughts, his fixed his eyes on the targer and bent down just a little to jumped off.
like what jaerin described the man she fell for when she watched the game at the age of 9, jaehyun jumped high.
the captain of the team who act as the umpire was schock seeing the jump. it was indeed higher than the average player.
jaehyun did grabbed the ball but unfortunately, he landed on his leg which he undergo a knee surgery 8 years back. the ball fell from his grip.
he fell down hard.
everyone was shocked by the incident but they were more shocked when jaerin shouted his name loud like a friend adressing a friend instead of a student adressing a teacher.
