Michael's POV
I have fallen in love with her. But i need to stop myself from loving her, from liking her, because i know she isn't mine and she'll never be mine; not at all, never will be mine. I made a promise.... i promised mama Zonia, and i have to fulfill that promise.
"Hey, seems like something's bothering you, mind to share?"
"Hi good morning. It's nothing. How was the dinner party last night? Sorry, i fell asleep after taking some medicines, i was not able to join the party."
"Good morning doc."
"Hi Kiefer, good morning. Where is tita Mozzy?"
"Breakfast is ready....Good morning doc."
"Tita, you cooked breakfast?"
"Yes. Alyssa...oh Yss told me you were sick last night so i woke up early to prepare a special breakfast for you."
We all headed to the dining area and saw what tita Mozzy had prepared for all of us. Saraaaap!..
"Oh that's so sweet tita Mozzy. Thank you so much"
"No. Thank you doc for bringing us here. This is really a nice place."
"Then we should thank this lovely lady here beside me. It is her place not mine. She bought this place when she had her vacation here in the philippines. That was 3 years ago."
"You went home 3 years ago?😮"
"Uhmm, y-yes Kiefer i did"
"Dennise and LA got married 3 years ago. That was exactly 3 years ago today..."
"I know.... i was there"
" 😮 I didn't see you. We didn't know you were there."
"Nobody did. I didn't show up and i didn't tell anybody, there's no reason for me to let anyone know i am coming home afterall."
"But i was lo..."
"Let's not talk about it Kiefer."
I saw him looked at her as she left the dining area and went upstairs. There is love, there is longing, there is sadness in his eyes. He misses her a lot. His eyes says everything.
"Kiefer..."
"Doc..."
"You still love her, do you?"
"So much..."
"Then why did you left her?"
"For a dream, and that was the biggest mistake i ever did."
"You fulfilled your dream, how come it was a mistake?"
"Because i let of go of my greatest dream. I've lost my grip, i've let it slipped away. I've lost what really makes me happy, i've lost the love of my life."
"That was what you've wanted"
"No."
"It was. You've asked for your freedom, didn't you?"
"It was for her. I did that for her..."
He left me after saying that. It was him who asked for the annulment. Now he was telling me it was for her. He asked for the annulment....for her?...
I don't understand.
He went out of the villa and headed to the shore, so i followed him.
"Hey, Kiefer!"
"Huh?"
"What was that?"
"What?"
"What you were saying."
