Jeonghwa woke up the next day, surprised that she was on her bed. She thought Baekseol would just leave her unconscious body on the floor. Getting up from her laying position, she immediately regretted it.
The heavy stinging all over her body reminded her of last night's traumatizing events. Her eyes swelled up as she didn't even bothering trying to stop them. She was alone now and no one could touch her. She regretted not listening to her best friends and most importantly, Seonghwa.
After weeping for a good 10 minutes, she finally calmed down and wiped off the snot and tears that stained her face before grabbing her phone that was on the bed-side table.
*Ring, Ring, Ring*
"Jeonghwa? Hi!" Seonghwa's familiar excited voice whenever she called was enough to make her feel safe again.
"S-Seonghwa, come o-over please,"
"I'll be there in 5," The lass pouted when he hung up. She was alone again. She decided to get some food in the kitchen while waiting for Seonghwa and it wasn't exactly the easiest trip like usual. It took her multiple breaths of pain just to get to the refrigerator.
Jeonghwa froze once she remembered she hadn't check for any signs of Baekseol. And so she scanned around, eyes laying on a yellow sticky note on the kitchen counter.
"Congrats, I'm finally breaking up with you. But if anyone finds out about this, it certainly won't be the last." Once again she trembled in fear, tears threatening to flow.
The door busted open and this time revealed the person she actually wanted to see. "Jeonghwa!" Seonghwa, yet again with another medium-sized brown paper bag, showed up.
"Oh my God, you look awful." He ran to her and immediately engulfed her into a gentle hug, careful not to hurt her obvious beat-up body further.
"Is it that bad?"
"I'll take a closer look and see what we can do, okay? And don't worry you still look pretty to me."
"Thank you,"
"Do you want to talk about it?" The lad helped her sit on the couch, rubbing her arm to ease her tense state.
It was silent for a while, Jeonghwa remembering the note. She was internally having a war with herself debating whether of not to tell him. All she needed was a little push for her to spill it, and as if Seonghwa read her mind, that's exactly what he did.
