D-Ranks are tedious. It seems the war has affected the civilians less than the shinobi, there is always a mission to babysit or clean out the gutters or trim this garden and paint that fence.
In between missions she has to put up with her teammates bickering. The Namikaze must think her incompetent with how he treats her as an easily broken flower and the Uchiha hasn't stopped glaring daggers at her.
She is confused.
She could not remember ever meeting Uchiha Sasuke before being assigned to this team yet he seems to hate her with the fury of a thousand suns.
He is also overestimating his abilities, to a ridiculous degree.
How this is the little brother Itchi spoke so fondly about she has no idea. Nothing about the Uchiha is sweet. Not his permanent scowl, nor his disregard of everyone not Uchiha or Namikaze or their Sensei.
Really the only reason she has not put him in his place is the Hokage's assignment. 'Protect Genin Namikaze Naruto and Genin Uchiha Sasuke' but with the way things are going maybe punching them clean across the training ground would teach them about underestimating people.
