Ty's eyelids cracked open, the bright morning light flooding in through the window. He sat up as the sound of distant chatter and clicking doors filled his ears. A familiar, warm smile greeted him, which he quickly recognized as his mother's.

"Hello, Tyler." She said softly. Ty blinked and cringed at the sound of his full name, looking around the room before back at his mother. Sometimes he would wonder why the hell she named him Tyler, he was a girl in reality, after all. 'Why is she here?' Then a harsh headache flushed to the forefront of his head. 'Oh, yeah... that whole incident...' he let out a sigh.

"Hey, mom." Ty rubbed his eyes and returned the smile, his being weaker. "Is dad here, too?"

"No, he's on a four-day business trip." His mother sighed, her shoulders slumped slightly. Ty nodded, looking out the window. Students were just starting to depart from their dorm buildings.

Ty continued to watch as the seemingly-tiny humans started pouring through the wooden doors down below. It was quiet and peaceful, that was until a loud commotion came from the hallway.

"Hurry up, dipshits. If we aren't quick we are going to be late for class." A voice raised.

"It's not like we care if we're late to class anyway, it's useless." A female voice squeaked.

"Yeah, because you're all stupid as fuck. I don't even know how you got into the class." The first voice barked back. The door to Ty's room swung open, and as expected, there stood his friends.

"Morning." Harrison gleamed, waving to the two sitting in the room. Pip was grinning the usual smile, and Matthew walked in last.

Ty's mother turned to him, an eyebrow raised. She turned back to his friends, looking them up and down, before her eyes landed on Raymond. He looked pissed off, as usual, his eye bags were darker than normal and it was giving off a edgy vibe compared to the other three. Even so, it still made Ty's heart beat faster when looking at him.

"These are your friends?" She asked. Ty immediately stopped looking in Raymond's direction.

"Yes.... at least greet them, mom." He laughed nervously as he waved to his friends and smiled.

"Good morning, I'm Pip." She smiled and held out her hand to Ty's mother, which she took.

His friends all greeted his mother, with the exception of Raymond. He had never introduced his friends to his mother before, hopefully they gave decent enough impressions. He looked to Raymond, who obviously wasn't doing a good job at that.

"And you would be...?" His mother asked, she obviously didn't like him very much, from the second he walked through the door.

"Tch—" Raymond uncrossed his arms and stepped forward. "It's Raymond." His mother turned back to Ty, with an expectant look.

"Not good with manners, I see..." she raised an eyebrow.

"Okay okay." Ty chuckled nervously, waving his hands. He didn't need the tension rising any more at this time of morning. "Don't worry mom, he's cool." He smirked, looking at Raymond. "He's just a bit of a hothead." He decided to tease a bit, it wouldn't hurt, right?

"Say that again, damn idiot, I dare you." Raymond snarled, Ty only rolled his eyes.

"Anyway... We just wanted to check up on you before school started." Matthew chuckled.

"Thanks, guys, but I'm fine." Ty looked to the clock. "You're probably going to be late if you don't get going." His friends nodded and waved goodbye, before the door closed once again. Ty let out a sigh.
