Chapter 18

Hey guys. Sooo its like, 1 in the morning here and I'm oddly really tired. But yeah, I already updated once just a little bit ago, but I got bored and had nothing else to do and figured I may as well update again. (:

Alex's POV

-two weeks later-

"Hurry up, babe!" my blond best friend shouted from outside of the bathroom where I was currently getting ready. I had on a pair of black high-waisted shorts and a navy blue, baggy t-shirt that was tucked in. My messy black hair fell down to my waist and I just finished up applying mascara.

"I'll be right out." I called back. I wasn't sure where we were going, but Mara claimed she had a surprise for me tonight and that I wasn't allowed to know where we were going. 

It had been two weeks since I arrived back home. Conner hadn't hit me yet. He almost did once, but Mara had been there and she shouted at him before pulling me away and taking me out to McDonald's at 11 o'clock at night. 

Its also been two weeks since I last talked to Zayn. He tried calling and texting me everyday, but I'd never answer. It would be too hard. Hearing his voice would make me fall apart again. Just hearing him on the radio made my heart feel like it was in a million tiny pieces. 

After fluffing my hair once more, I came out of the bathroom. Mara was standing outside the door waiting for me. She had on a black miniskirt and a blue shirt that matched her eyes. Her hair was pulled up into a messy pony and she had on a leather jacket. 

"You look hot." she grinned, winking at me.

"So do you." I chuckled. I went to my bedroom and slid on my black converse and grabbed my own leather jacket and bag.

"You won't need that." Mara told me, pointing at the bag I had on my shoulder. 

"Why not?"

"You just won't. Just take your phone and lets go." she told me and I did as she said, taking my phone out of my bag and placing it in my pocket before leaving the house.

"So are you going to tell me where we're going now?" I asked as we walked into town.

"Nope." she smirked.

"Please?" 

"No, its a surprise. Now shh." 

"Fine." I pouted, frustrated. I didn't like surprises, and knowing Mara, it could be literally anything. I loved her, but she could be so crazy sometimes.

We had been walking for awhile, talking about random stuff, when Mara's phone went off.

"Hello?" she answered it. She paused while the other person spoke. "Yes, we're on our way. We should be there in about five minutes." Another pause. "Nope, she has no idea. Okay, see you soon." she smiled and hung up, putting her phone back in her pocket.

"Who was that?" I asked, suspicious.

 "Oh, no one." she smiled.

"Liar."

"Don't worry about it. You'll find out soon enough." 

Knowing there was no way to make Mara change her mind about telling me, I said nothing. We walked for about three minutes longer when we arrive at a large venue where concerts wee usually held. There were hundreds, maybe even thousands of people slowly entering the large building.
