Ellen walked Patrick out to the balcony of her room. He sat down on the sofa that was facing the view of the beautiful mountains outside. "I'll be right back." Ellen walked in to the bathroom and grabbed the bottle of wine she forgot on her bathtub.

She walked back outside and let the cold breeze hit her skin. A bird or two were singing a low song, and the sound of the night filled her soul.

The cool breeze of the night hit her skin. The smell of rain mixed with the grass filled her lungs and for the first time today, she was able to get his sent out of her system. The moon looked down on her as she stood there for a second, enjoying the piece that she knew wasn't going to last.

She took a gulp from the bottle and handed it to Patrick. He took it and watched as she kicked her shoes off and sat down next to him. Her arm rested on the back of the sofa and her head rested in the palm of that hand.

Ellen suddenly felt calm. She wasn't scared, or stressed. She was happy. Because as she sat here with him, she realized that she's going to be able to do this for the rest of her life, without hurting anyone in the process.

She feels like she doesn't recognize who she is with him. But in the best way possible. This is the woman she wants to be. And she has been locked down deep inside for a very long time.

"I waited for you for a long time. And I sacrificed a lot." Ellen spoke. "This is gonna be a hard time for me, and I want you to understand that." Patrick pushed her hair out of her face and tugged it back behind her ear. "Ellen, I know." She smiled at him. "I'm gonna be here, every step of the way. And I'm not gonna rush you to do anything, I promise. This is the time for me to pay you back."

"Thank you." The McDreamy in him slipped out into the open as his eyes sparkled at her. "I really wanna kiss you right now, but I'm just waiting for my phone to ring." Ellen laughed. She straddled his lap and cupped his face. "I really don't want to wait." She smiled at him and he pulled her in for a kiss. His hand rested on her lower back as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

Her fingers tangled in his curls as her as his tongue entered her mouth.

Ellen unbuttoned her shirt but he stopped her, covering her white lace bra by pulling the shirt on top again. "What?" Ellen gasped for air. "Not before you're single." Ellen's head dropped in the crook of his neck and he laughed. "You said you weren't gonna pressure me." She cried. "I'm not. It's not my intention. I just..." She cut him off. "Want to torture me?"

He laughed, caressing the back of her head. "I want us to be right."

"Patrick we know we're right." He laughed again. "Ellen you won't be getting any of this until you're single." He pointed at his jeans. Ellen dropped her head in Patrick's neck again, still sitting in his lap.

"Meredith and Derek's sex life have nothing to do with ours. 'No sex for us until they get to sleep together again'? Really?" Ellen snorted. "C'mon Paddy. It makes things just so much more exciting at the end,"

"Stand up for a second." He whispered and she stood up. He scooted over to the edge of the couch and started buttoning her shirt. Butterflies exploded in Ellen's lower stomach and she closed her eyes, knowing he wasn't doing what he was doing to tempt her, but to keep himself from breaking his own words.

He tugged her shirt back in her pants like he saw it for the first time tonight. He leaned back down and rested his back on the sofa. Ellen sat in his lap again, this time her legs were resting on the empty space of the couch, and Patrick's arm was wrapped around her. She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes, listening to his steady heartbeat.

His hand caressed her hair. "I love you, Ellen. And I don't feel like I tell you that enough." Ellen smiled a sleepy smile. "I love you too, Paddy." Patrick too, closed his eyes.

Ellen was about to fall asleep when she heard the gate of her front yard open. Only her and Chris have a key to it. "Oh no. No no no no no."

She jumped off of Patrick's lap and he opened his eyes. "What?" Ellen leaned over and saw Chris' car parking. "Shit shit shit."

"Ellen, what?" Patrick stood up. She turned around. "Chris is back early." He rolled his eyes. "No, this is not the time to act like a child Patrick Galen Dempsey." He laughed. "What did I do? Take a breath!"

"Take a breath? What if he sees you?"

"Aren't we 'hanging out' again?"

"Not in his room!"

"Okay!"

"Stay here, Patrick. Don't get inside until I tell you to. And you walk out of the room, okay?"

"It's not the first time I run away from your room, Ell." He tried touching her face. She slapped his hand away.

"Shut up." She walked inside, but he stopped her when she got to the glass door. "If he pulls down his pants this time, I'm gonna barf on your floor." Ellen's eyes widened. "Shut up!"

He laughed as she walked inside the house.

Her husband walked into the closet and took off his pants and underwear, casually exposing his behind.

Patrick plugged his nose, trying to keep his laughter in as he saw Chris naked.

"Surprise!" Chris said in not a so excited tone. "You're back!" He took a step towards his wife. She leaned in and pecked his lips. "Stella's already asleep huh?" She nodded. "She fell asleep a while ago I'm sorry."

"It's okay." He jumped on their bed. "Hey, why don't you get in the shower and I'll follow you in a second." Chris smiled. "I like it." He stood up and walked inside their shower. Ellen took the door handle in her palm. "Get ready okay?" He nodded. Ellen closed the door and walked to the balcony. "Leave, now!" Patrick stood up casually and walked up to Ellen, kissing her lips. She pulled away. "Patrick!"

"This is for making me hear all of this." Ellen noticed that his mood got ruined. She cupped his cheek. "I'm sorry I had to." He nodded. "I know. It just sucks that you do."

"Not for long, how about we go get lunch tomorrow?" Patrick smiled. "Yeah, I like it."

"Good, I'll see you then."

"See you then." Patrick stepped out of her embrace and left her room without looking back even once. "Babe?" Chris called out for her. "I'm coming!" Ellen sighed and walked in the bathroom right behind Christopher.

"Who was here for dinner?" Chris asked from behind the curtain. "Stella's friend."
