An alarm clock woke Ellen up. She checked her phone. It was 6:45AM and Patrick had already texted her to meet him for breakfast, not lunch, to avoid as much as possible to be seen together. She texted him back, saying she's gonna get dressed and meet him in a coffee shop down the street from his condo.

She looked at the man sleeping next to her and just sat there, for a second, she thought that one day in the near future, she will have a smile on her face as soon as she wakes up, because the man she will see is Patrick.

Ellen wrapped her sheets around her naked body and went to her closet. She put on her panties and decided to just wear her white oversized hoodie on top. Then, she grabbed her blue velvet pants and put on her adidas white shoes.

She walked inside her bathroom, moving Christopher's clothes from the way. She brushed her teeth and let her hair down. Her waves were soft, because they were straightened just yesterday. She applied her skin care creams, grabbed her phone and went back into her room. She leaned down in front of her husband. "Christopher," She whispered, waking him up immediately.

He smiled.

"I have to go early, can you take Stella to school?" He nodded. "Thank you. Bye." She pecked his lips and walked down the stairs and drove to the coffee shop her and Patrick agreed on meeting each other in.

She parked her car and went inside to find Patrick, about to sit down on a table in the corner. She walked up to him. "Good morning," He said as soon as he saw her. Patrick leaned in and kissed her cheek before he sat down in front of her, taking off his sunglasses. "I grabbed something before I came here." Ellen pulled out a brownish envelope from her bag and placed it on the table. "Is this...?"

Ellen smiled when she saw Patrick grab the envelope and read the first few line. He dropped it back on the table and the most genuine smile she has ever seen drawn on his face appeared. "I called my lawyer last night. She's really good, isn't she?"

"I think she's been waiting for this phone call." Patrick joked and they both laughed. "Yeah probably." Ellen placed the envelope back in the bag. Patrick placed his hand on top of hers. "I'm so happy for us, Ellen."

"I am too." Time flew by so fast, and when Ellen's phone rang, she realized it's already ten. She frowned when she saw the name. "I have to take this, I'm sorry. It's Stella's school."

"Is everything okay?" Worried expression took over Patrick's features. "I don't know." Ellen picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Yes I'm her," Ellen waited for the principal to answer her. "No, I asked my husband to drop her off his morning, have you tried his cell?"

"Oh damnit." Patrick whispered, and wiped his face. Ellen looked outside and saw the paparazzi waiting for them right in front of the café. They could've taken a million pictures in the past few hours. "Look Principal Walters, I'm not home now but I'll go check there. It's likely that Stella is with my husband."

"Okay thank you." Ellen hung up. "How long have these assholes been out there?" She pointed at the paparazzi with her phone, her eyes fixed at Patrick. "For a while probably, our pictures are already online."

"Are you kidding? That was posted thirty minutes ago!" The picture was Patrick leaning down to kiss Ellen, followed by a second one of them making eye contact. They took a picture of every step Patrick took back to his seat, and every facial expression he made when Ellen handed him the divorce papers. They sealed them with one of Patrick and Ellen holding hands.
