Layla stared at the crumpled piece of paper in her hand, she could still see the bold, black words staining the thin piece of paper. The one who sent it to her made it so she wouldn't be able to avoid the message unless she threw it away. The words stained to the very back of the page, engraving the cruel words in her mind.

She knew she should throw away the piece of paper, it only made the negative thoughts already swirling around her mind worsen, but she couldn't. The dark atmosphere of her home wasn't helping either.

Humans could be cruel, no matter what you do, someone will always hate you. It just so happens that Layla's haters did everything they could to make sure she knew they hated her.

Before, back during the time everyone thought Layla was useless, everyone made sure she knew that. They called her all sorts of names, even telling her to just die. She almost did it, but she made sure they didn't have the satisfaction of her giving in to what they wanted.

Then some players proved Layla was indeed op in the right hands, but the hate took quite a turn. Now they were saying she was overrated and that she truly wasn't that good. She saw a spark of hope, she believed she could finally be appreciated for once, but the world wasn't letting it happen.

"I've worked so hard... I lost everything, even my dream of pursuing magic... But even that wasn't good enough apparently." Layla mutters, she finally brought herself to reality and tossed the piece of paper in the trash, she gave one last look at it before looking away.

'Don't give in, Layla. They're only trying to bring you down.'

"Happy holidays!"

Snowflakes floated down and about as the bright lights flickered. The stand that had 'Merry Christmas' embroidered in big, fancy Christmasy colors caught the eyes of all people passing by.

The jolly cheers of all the children filled the air as they filled everyone with happiness.

Lunox fixed the Santa hat laying on her head and snuggled her coat closer, struggling to keep warm, "We're almost done, don't worry." She assured no one in particular.

She had assumed the children that volunteered to help out with the stand were freezing cold, but by how energetic they were right now, that didn't seem to be the case.

Lunox, Rafaela, Selena and the children began a stand, giving out presents to anyone who came. They didn't mind the discrimination against those who were on the "good" side and those on the "bad" side, everyone received a present.

Lunox knew they were doing something good, but she felt as if what they were doing wasn't enough. There was something yet to be done. Someone else to bless.

"Miss Lunox! Nana and I are going to carol now." Lylia called out, coming up to the thoughtful girl, breaking her train of thought.

"Alright, go along now." Lunox smiled, "Don't forget to keep yourselves warm, we don't want you to get sick." She added, patting the girl's head.

Lylia nodded happily, "Okay! Nana, let's go!" She called out, skipping over to the pink haired Feline.

"I wanna come! But Rafaela won't let me." Chang'e pouted, she was helping Rafaela give gifts to the people from Eurodito, "But that's okay, there's always a next time."

"If you'll even live to experience a next time." Harley snickered, he stood behind Chang'e, distributing gifts as well.

The line was quite long, the more people, the more smiles were given. Yet something was missing.
