From Time to Time

Chapter 3: Sea-nanigans

After getting breakfast and eating it too Davis quickly scurried back to his room and grabs his infinity backpack, an infinity backpack is a pack made just recently that has a lot of storage because it shrinks whatever that enter it, then heads down into the lab. When he got into the lab Ada was waiting, but she wasn't active, instead she was limp like yesterday.
"Ada?" Davis asked but the limp robot body didn't respond. He could see the PITT device inside a machine, a constructor of sorts. Attached to the device was a wire connecting the device and Ada. The PITT device was a bulky device with a screen on it. It looked like it went on the forearm. Davis picks up the device and puts it on his arm and held it out in front of him. The screen showed a progress bar which was at ninety nine percent then after a second finishes.
"Ada upload complete" the device says then a needle hidden in the device's body stabs itself into Davis' arm
"OW!" he yelps and waves his arm around unplugging the device and the needle retracts.
"Sorry Davis. The needle needed to get your vitals and get your pulse. The device requires it to function. The device says in a familiar voice.
"Ada? What did you do?" He asked.
"I took your pulse. Seriously do all humans not listen and understand what I say?" Ada said a bit upset.
"No Ada, What I mean is what did you do to yourself? Are you supposed to be in the PITT device?" He asked
"OH! Well I can't allow you to travel alone. Your only like what ten years old?' Ada says making fun of Davis' smaller size.
"I'm fifteen Ada..." he gripes then sighs "Anyways... are we all set to go?"
"Yes, just grab the solar charger for the device and we will be on our way" Ada said
Davis grabs the solar charger. The solar charger was an old laptop that the top part was made into a solar panel. Davis opened the laptop to see what was inside. It was just a laptop on the inside and even still works. It opens up to the desktop. After thinking for a second Davis opens a document and starts to type a note.
"Journal entry #1 , My adventure starts. I have a bad feeling about going through time. What if something happens and I get trapped or even killed? The thought scares me. At least Ada is going with me. I'm happy I will get someone to talk to. Then we're off to England. But when? And where? And what is the Random number sequence my dad sent me? 41.12.250 what could it mean? This might take awhile... I'll update this journal as I go. And if anyone is reading this. Wish me luck I will need it" Davis typed down onto the notepad and saved it then closed the laptop and puts the laptop into his bag.
"Okay Ada, I'm ready" he said
"Okay Davis, I know how to move through space, but not through time. Can you possibly get an idea of where your dad is?" Ada said ready and slightly nervous.
"Don't you mean when?" Davis said with a joking tone.
"Well yes but where in engla- OOOOH! Haha That was a joke huh?" Ada said slightly happier.

Smiling softly Davis pulled the letter out of his back pocket. Looking at the blurry blob that was the year when his father stuck.
"Well it's four numbers and the first one looks like a one so that's a lot of time knocked off. So there's 1999-1000 BC and 1000-1999 AD. That's around one thousand nine hundred and ninety eight years, But the paper was not made in Europe until about 1085 so that knocks off about one thousand eighty four years. That leaves about nine hundred and fourteen years... multiplied by the nearly four million square miles of Europe." Davis started to say and think
"Wha- how.. How did you know all that off the top of your head?" Ada asked shocked
"Hm? I just do. My world history teacher is really profishent and making stuff stick in his students heads." said Davis
"Oh well anyways, before we go there is a suit you will need to wear. Your father calls it the TPCS, Time Period Cloaking Suit. It will change to whatever time period you are in and whenever and wherever you are it will change so your not wearing modern clothes. Don't worry It will be big, but it will shrink to your body" Ada said sounding ready.
"Really? Interesting...." Davis said impressed.
After about five minutes Davis was wearing the suit. It was like a divers wetsuit but it had blue streaks and lines all over and the blue seemed to glow. Davis had also found a cover for his infinity bag that did the same thing as the suit did. Davis put his bag on his back after putting the Laptop in his bag. Looking down at the PITT device Davis thinks for a second.
"Let's start with London during their industrial revolution." Davis said confidently
"Yes sir" Ada said and the device starts to buzz and glow. With a flash of light they weren't in the lab anymore.
With a quick flash Davis appears. "Woah that wa-... Ada? I don't think this is the Industrial Revolution, or France." Davis says not moving
"Well then where and when are we?" Ada says confused.
"By the looks of it... 16th mabey 17th century.... On a pirate ship." Davis says without moving. A flintlock pointed to his head point blank range.
