Chapter 6: Another Mistake

With a flash Davis appears in a large open field of knee high golden grass. A gentle, warm breeze causes the field to wave. "Okay Ada, where are we now? This looks like a giant field. Not Rome..." Davis says and sighs a bit.
"But we are in Ancient Rome! I have the coordinates!" Ada says panicky as Davis looks at the pit device.
"No we're in a fie-" The loud roar of a flying vehicle flies over head. Davis ducks down after it passes. Thankfully it was high enough not to hit Davis. "What the hell?!" Davis yells as he looks up and watches as the car zooms off at high speeds. Davis turns around seeing a giant city, but there was something weird about it. It was floating in the air! It was about 5 miles away and seemed to float 100 feet in the air. It looked advanced, much more advanced than anything he had seen. It looked like something out of a Sci-Fi movie. Davis stares at it in awe for a few seconds. "Ada... I think you got the wrong time.." after a few seconds of silence Davis looks at the PITT device "Ada?" Davis asks. The device was completely shut down. He had a full battery before he had left though. "Crap...." Davis says and looks back at the city. "Hopefully someone there can help..." Davis says to himself, Alone.
A few hours and a lot of sweat later Davis gets to the city, or under it at least. Though when he got close it seemed to blow cold air. "Oh my god yes.." He relaxes a bit feeling the cold air blow onto him. Davis is completely oblivious to the alien beast that was about to pounce and attack Davis.
"LOOK OUT!" a female voice yells then Davis looks at where the voice comes from. A female alien tackles Davis as the beast lunges towards Davis. The beast misses Davis and the female alien pulls out some kind of energy pistol and blasts the creature. The creature gets hit, but doesn't die. The beast rears around looking at the two. The female alien stares back almost seeming to put it in a trance. "Get up now" she says calmly "we need to run. After I look away it will chase us, there's an elevator about thirty meters away" The girl says as Davis stands up and stands behind her. "Three, Two, ONE!" she turned around and grabs Davis' hand and ran to the elevator. Davis running behind her pants. The beast quickly snaps out of its illusions and quickly starts to chase them again. The two soon got into the elevator, but not before Davis gets scratched. Once inside the elevator the two are hunched over panting heavily. "Huff, heh, huff, That was fun!" The girl said before standing up and puts her hand out towards Davis "I'm Yuki, but I like to be called Kiki" Kiki said. Davis finally get a good look at the alien girl. She was short, only about five foot three inches, but she was still taller than Davis, who was only five foot one inch. She had purple skin but it seemed to be changing to a deeper color and back as she panted softly. She must have had chromatophores that made her skin change color. She wore a black and yellow jumpsuit. It looked familiar to Davis'. At that moment Davis realized that he suit hadn't changed. Weird... he thought to himself. She had little hair. There seemed to be a thin layer of hair, mabey fur. It really didn't matter because she wore a purple beanie. She also had a hoodie jacket tied around her waist. It was a deep red, burgundy mabey.
Panting heavily Davis stands up and shakes her hand "I'm Da-"
"Oh my god that's an original PITT Device! HOW DID YOU GET THAT?" Kiki yelled ecstatic as she grabbed the device looking at it not bothering to take it off of Davis.
"Original? What do you mean original?" Davis asked confused.

"Wait your telling me you didn't know that you have one of the very first PITT Devices?! HOW?!" Kiki yelled at Davis. "I'll give anything you want! I must add this to my collection!"
"WOAH WOAH SLOW DOWN!" Davis said pulling his hand away. "What are you talking about? There are only two PITT Devices and one's in bits."
"Of course there's more. Only for the rich though. They are much more compact though and they go in your forearm, but as for the history. In the early 21st century a Man named Jacob Yelt created the first PITT device. It's a shame what happened to him and his son. Jacob had an accident and his took one of to go save his father and eventually found him, but after getting... his...father ...back......." Kiki says as she looks at Davis "What's your name?" she says sounding instantly more serious and getting up in Davis' face.
"Uhh..." Davis says looking at Kiki confused. "My name is Davis...Why do you ask?"
Both excitement and joy that fills Kiki's eyes is enormous. "HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT!!" yells Kiki as she tackles Davis to the ground and starts to talk in some kind of a language Davis had never heard before. Davis tries to say something, but Kiki won't stop.
"HEY! STOP!" Davis finally yells and Kiki stops. "What the hell are you going on about?!" Davis asks.
Kiki puts an awkward smile on her face and rubs the back of her head. "Heh.. Sorry I'm just so excited. Yours a hero in history. If it wasn't for you time travel still would have been a fantasy."
"What? Do you mean you know who I am?" Davis asks as he remains still. Kiki was still sitting on him.
"Wait.. Shit forget I said anything!!" Kiki says worriedly. After a few seconds of silence she stands up and helps Davis up. "Come on, let's head to my place." she grabs Davis' hand and starts to walk. Unsure of what is happening now, Davis just followed her being almost dragged behind her as she continued to talk to herself.
After a stroll through the birralant city the two arrive at an abandoned building. Kiki pulled Davis in and took off his PITT device. "HEY what are you doing?" Davis asks as he tries to get it back.
"Hold up a moment" Kiki walks to a panel on the wall and opens it going through what seemed like thousands of wires crammed into a small space. How she kept them so organized and untangled was a complete mystery. Pulling out an old wire she walks to a big panel and plugs the PITT Device into it and starts to go through what seemed like a dirty mess of files from the device. "Wow this is amazing".

Unsure of what she was doing Davis just looked around for somewhere to sit and waits silently.
"Hm? What's this?" Kiki says as she opens one of the files and runs the program inside and within seconds the PITT Device Implodes.
"SHIT!" quickly running over to Kiki, Davis helps her up "ARE YOU OKAY?!" Davis asks frantically as he looks over her checking for wounds.
"Y..yeah...I'm fine. Just a bit shaken. I'm.... so sorry for doing that. I had no ide-" Kiki says, but Davis interrupts her.
"Hey hey relax it's fine. It was an accident." Davis comforts her. Davis could see tears forming in Kiki's eyes. "Hey no don't cry" Davis says then Kiki hugs him. A bit shocked Davis hugs back.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to" Kiki cries on Davis for what feels like hours.
"Journal entry #4, well Ada is gone as much as I should be upset about this I'm not. On the bright side I met this girl named Kiki. She's quite hyperactive and nice. Smart too. Though it seems she can be a bit sensitive. Hell she was crying on me because she accidently destroyed the PITT Device. Now she's asleep atop of me. I'm currently using my backpack as back support. I'm typing this trying not to wake her up. She's actually quite cute... What am I going to do now? I'm stuck here. I don't have a PITT Device. Although Kiki said something about there being more that are commercially made. Maybe I could get my hands on one. We will just have to see. For now Davis signing off. Geez what is this some kind of TV show?"
