Chapter 11

Sophie's POV:

Sophie could not sleep the entire night she kept on thinking about what Lady Gisela's proposal would be and what she would do to them if they refused.And what would Keefe do? Would he fight his mother ? Would he be angry ? She had no idea but she was scared.

And also what had happen with Tarina ? Why had she left so suddenly with no explanation. Sophie had so many questions at this point that she didnt even know which one to answer.Her life was wayyyy to complicated for a girl her age.

Keefe's POV:

Why was his mother calling them to meet her?And why only the four of them. Why hadn't she called Dex,Fitz and Biana also?What was she up to? All these questions went through his head but of course he didn't have an answer to any of them.

He quickly dressed and styled his hair nicely. And when he was done he made his way with Ro over to the leap master.But of course he couldn't sneak past his father who was waiting for him.He glared at Ro couldn't she have warmed him.

"Where are you going?" Lord Cassius questioned crossing his arms and standung in front of Keefe."To live a life"Keefe replied." Oooh good one"Ro commented while inspecting her purple claws.And then Keefe yelled "Havenfield" and stepped into the light smirking.

When he glittered o to Havenfield pastures the first thing he saw was Sophie by Calla's Panakes tree collecting fallen petals and putting it into a a basket. "Hey Foster,"he said walking up to her. Sophie turned around so quickly that she lost her footing and fell down knocking her head against the tree trunk.

"Still falling for me?"Keefe asked with a wink and settling down beside her." Nope,you just scared me"Sophie said looking anywhere but at Keefe.But Keefe could see that she was blushing and he could feel her emotions. "Nah uh uh" Keefe said wiggling his fingers in front of her face "Now dont go and lie to the empath". Sophie grumbled something under her breath which sounded a lot like "I hate empaths"." And there you go lying again"Keefe said smirking at her "there's only one empath that you hate and his name is Lord Cassius Ugly Sencen,but the rest of them you love them especially me" Keefe pointed out."Fine,you might be right"Sophie said laughing shyly.

'This is it' Keefe mentally told himself. He was finally going to tell Sophie that he liked her as more then just a friend.After a few long moments of silence he said "Hey!Sophie I need to tell you something" Sophie looked at him surprised then smiled "Ok then tell me" she said."Wellll...I...umm...I l-li--"Keefe was cut of by Fitz appearing.

"Oh...hey Fitz what are you dying here?Sophie asked.(A/n the word dying is supposed to be doing but it was autocorrected and I round it funny so I left it) " Uh...I came to ask you something "Fitz said " But I'd prefer if we were alone"Fitz said glancing at Keefe."I'll be in the house"Keefe told Sophie while completely ignoring Fitz and Fitz also ignored him." K "was all Sophie replied before turning all her attention to Fitz." So what d'you wanna tell me"Sophie asked smiling shyly at Fitz.And on hearing that Keefe fled to the house.

As he neared the house he slowed down but he was in such a daze that he almost smashed right into Linh and Marella who were entering the house."Hi Edaline"Keefe fretted Sophie's adoptive mother who was smiling at him goofily. "Hello Keefe,Where's Sophie I thought I saw you too together?" Edaline asked looking behind him to make Sophie wasn't there."Oh yeah...umm Fitz came to tell her something so she's with him now"Keefe said.

Then he saw Linh and Marella standing by the window and giggling so he made his way loved and was just in time to see Fitz kiss Sophie on her cheek.Then he heard Marella whispering to Linh "They are soo cute together" and he was already walking away so he didn't hear the second thing she said "but I still ship her with Keefe " while Linh nodes her agreement.

Keefe sank dejectedly onto the couch.Even his friends thought Sophie' was better with Fitz what was the point on even trying anymore. Just then Grady came and sat next to him."Heello Keefe"Grady greeted "You look as if you are sick or maybe you need some advise?" Grady said."Hello Grady"he greeted back."What kind of advice?"he questioned. Though in Hus head he thought 'Grady is probably gonna tell me to stay away from Sophie' but what Grady told him surprised him immensely.

"I know that you like Sophie as more then a friend" Grady said making Keefe feel uncomfortable "and everyone knows that Fitz also likes her" "Wait I-" Keefe interrupted. Grady gave him a loll that said DO NOT INTERUPT ME so Keefe shut up."I wasn't done talking"Grady said "Sorry" Keefe apologised. "But as I was saying I know both you and Fitz like Sophie but don't let that ruin your friendship.And just between the two of us I prefer you to Fitz but in the end its always Sophie's decision not mine" Grady finished that got up and walked away.At that moment Sophie walked back into the house so Keefe didn't have time to think about what Grady had said.

"What were you going to tell me outside?" She asked coming to sit down next to Keefe "Never mind it's not important" Keefe said."What did Fitz wanna tell you?" He asked instead."Ohhh...." Sophie said fiddling with her tunic "he asked me if I'll go with him to Atlantis tonight" she said quietly.
"Like on a date?" Keefe questioned. "Kinda"Sophie replied." OK,but you can't think about that now.It's almost noon we need to go to Foxfire"Keefe said standing up abruptly.

They leaped to Foxfire and were almost at the level Four Atrium when...
"Sophie?Keefe?Linh?Marella? Grady? What are you'll doing here?" The voice questioned. They all turned around slowly to face Elwin.How had they forgotten about him? Keefe glared at Ro why hasn't she warned them that Elwin was coming.

Just then a cloaked figure came striding down the hall."Grady and the Bodyguards will have to wait outsideonly the four of you are to come in"Lady Gisela said."Well ok,then Grady you van Explain what's going on to Elwin"Sophie said."Sophie is my charge and I am not allowing her or any of her friends to go in these alone with you"Sandor growled."Fine only the goblin can come in"Lady Gisela said.And walked I to the Atrium.

Once they we're inside she pulled back her hood.All four of them shrank back putting as much space as possible between them."Oh please you'll are acting like scared mice I'm not gonna kill you" Lady Gisela said with a snigger."I'm not so sure about that.The last time we saw you,you trued to kill the Alicorns and kidnapped our friend" Keefe told her."Don't be so melodramatic "Lady Gisela said leaning against the lockers.

" I think you should just tell us why you needed us here "Sophie said breaking the ivy silence that had settled over them." Yes let's get back to business"Lady Gisela agreed."Good,then we can get out of hers faster"Keefe muttered. Lady Gisela ignored him."Well my proposal for you will require you'll to think. And just remember if you'll refuse Foxfire will be getting a redecoration. Lady Gisela said smiling evily.

"Just tell us what the proposal is" Marella earged while Linh nodded vigorously.Lady Gisela shook he'd head but told them anyway"Ok,my proposal is that in as long the four of you to join the Neverseen..."
