"Queen Diamondstreak?" A voice nervously calls out to me from the entrance of my cave, startling me.

I swing my head to the entrance. A young light ginger she-wolf stands nervously, looking like she has something to tell me.

I gesture for her to come in. She nervously does so, keeping quiet. She halts in front of me and lowers her haunches and sits. "So... I didn't tell you this earlier, but..." she takes a deep breath and see her visibly relax. "Starfur and Roseycheek made back safely to Mountain Pack."

Relief for the two young she-wolves relaxes me. I let my muscles loosen. "That's great news! She needs another omen about the troubling times ahead and I'm not going to risk being seen again." Those pale yellow eyes flash in my memory. I never should've been seen. It goes against our code. It's so embarrassing; an alpha breaking the sacred code!

"I understand. I'll send the omen this time. The others need a break." Honeyclaw walks out, a lot less nervous. As she reaches the entrance, she is silhouetted from the sun's last rays and disappears.

She's such a young wolf. She's just a old as Starfur and Roseycheek and she's already taking on these big responsibilities. I'm impressed with her and I could never ask for a wolf more loyal and dedicated to the pack. Once it's time, I'll choose her to be the next beta. She reminds me of some wolf. Some wolf special...

I crawl to the back of den. I curl myself into a ball in my moss bedding. I close my eyes and gently drift off into sleep.

I gently open my eyes. Fluffy, white, soft clouds stretch as far as the eye can see. I push myself up, feeling the cool breeze gently ruffle my fur.

Silver-grey fur catches my eyes from a few tail lengths away. My heart skips a beat, the love inside me soaring. I walk up to the she-wolf, moving quietly. As I approach her, I twine my tail around her's and settle down beside her.

"It's beautiful tonight, isn't it?" I point out, breaking the silent spell. I keep my head forwards, but a take a glance at the beautiful she-wolf.

There's a faint, but sweet smile on her face. "Honestly, it's much more beautiful with you here by my side." She tells me, her voice barley more than a whisper.

Queen Skyflight. The most beautiful she-wolf I've ever met in my long life. She's much more of a mate that King Goldtail- who is actually in my pack. She lives so far and she's the alpha of her pack; our love is forbidden. We can only meet in dreams.

"Are the two she-wolves that you mentioned last night alright?" Skyflight asks taking me away from my thoughts.

Right, Starfur and Roseycheek! I forgot I told her about the she-wolves!

"They made it back safely to Mountain Pack, but there are troubling times ahead for them, especially Starfur."

"That's great news! But the way you said that there are troubling times ahead for them is making me reconsider something I was thinking about." She drops her head, looking very uncertain.

The wind picks up, bringing with it the uncertainty of what trouble lies ahead.

"What is is that your reconsidering?" I lean over to look at her eyes.

Her eyes are glazed with concern and fear. "I was thinking of bringing my pack back to the other three packs. I don't know what will happen if I do, but the consequences of keeping them here is bad. I don't know what to do!" The tears start running down her eyes, the lives of her lost packmates flashing through her eyes; one being hit by a hairless monkey fly thing, another starving to death, another young one falling before he could fly and many more.

I nuzzle her, wrapping one of my wings over her. "I think that coming to the three packs are better than staying where you are. It doesn't seem safe and I'm sure that you'll be safe and find your place amongst the others. I'll also be coming to the packs for another visit shortly and we'll finally be able to meet outside our dreams."

She wipes her tears and looks at me, still uncertain. "How do you know that?"

"My pack always knows what decisions are best." I nudge her affectionately, the warmth from her warming me.

"Alright. I'll go. Both for my pack and the chance to finally see you outside of our dreams."
