Cracking the Vampire (The Prophecies Saga #1)

Chapter 2

*A few hours later*

Upon arriving in the airport, there is a security guard that escorts them towards the private plane. The Reblies start boarding the plane and sitting down.

Katerina: Seems like the other team isn't on time? Why aren't they here, already?

Ariella: They like being fashionable late. It's their thing and they think it makes them look cool.

Ariella snickers and the others follow suite. After waiting for about fifteen minutes, they hear laughter outside,  they hear people going up the stairs and then they see their so called teammates coming inside the plane, one after the other.

Clarista and Amaryllis both groan at the same time but they quickly quite down when they  see the scolding look coming from Nevaeh.

Elijah makes the first move, and walks forward toward Amaryllis seat. When she sees him get closer, she glares at him, only making him want to tease her more.

He leans in putting his hand on either side of her body, caging her in the seat.

Amaryllis: What the hell do you think you're doing? I'm going to punch you if you get any closer.

Amaryllis raises her arm to punch him but he catches her hand and smirks at her. Then, he does the most insulting thing ever and he kisses the palm of her hand. Amaryllis is fuming at this point and harshly pushes him back.

He smirks at her when he sees her redden cheeks and goes on to seat down knowing he won. She annoyingly looks out the window and scoots to the edge to get as far as she can from him.

The other guys go on to seat down next to the other girls. Katerina  completely engulfed in her phone puts her head up catching a glimpse of a new guy who she hasn't  met before when the guys caused trouble back at school. She watches him intensely until a pair of ruby red eyes stare back at her.

She looks away first because she was astounded by the intensity of his stare. She could feel his stare hovering over her even after she looked away. She starts feeling uncomfortable with the silence until it's broken off by Clarista growling at Malik who sat down next to her.

Clarista: Don't seat next to me. There are so many seats available. Why do you have to be so annoying and seat next to me ?

Malik: I just love seeing you so pent up.

Clarista: You know I hate you, right.

She sarcastically smiles with her ears popping out which makes Malik laugh.

Clarista: Why are you laughing. How dare you laugh at me, huh.

Malik points at the top of her head and so she touches and realizes her ears are out which makes her embarrassed and flushed. She pouts and crosses her arms while begrudgingly looking the other way. He chuckles and seats down.

The last guy goes towards the back where Nevaeh is and seats down which startles her, she looks up and is met with obsidian black eyes that look like they'll eat her soul up.

She smiles and and greets him.

Nevaeh: Hey Luci, what's up?

He smiles at her comfortably and starts conversing with her about how ridiculous the others are. They both agree that they are too childish.

The plane finally departs and halfway through everyone starts falling asleep.

Nevaeh rests her head on Lucifer's shoulder and he just warmly looks over her to makes sure she's comfortable while he rests back, too.

Clarista falls asleep also and has her mouth open while her drool comes out. Malik chuckles and takes advantage of this moment to take a picture of her.

Amaryllis fell asleep while still pouting and Elijah snickers pushing her head towards his shoulder to make her comfortable.

Upon arriving in Romania, the plane stops and the guys start waking up the girls to get off.

Clarista and Amaryllis wake up at the same time and both of them shoot up from their seats after seeing the position they were in. Clarista was even more mortified after she sees saliva on Malik's shoulder and flushed bright red and quickly wipes any left over from her mouth. Amaryllis glares at Elijah and just stomps away after threatening him to never tell anyone about what just happened.

All of them start descending the stairs and there's a limo waiting for them with two bodyguards at the front of the car. They both bow and stood upright after the mysterious guy quickly signals them to stop.

Katerina( thinking): Did I see that correctly. They clearly waited for the mystery guy to stand up. Who is this guy? Why does he seem so important ?

The bodyguards: Mr. Athan, hope you had a good flight. We'll be going directly to the estate now, everyone's waiting there.

The guy whose name I found out just now was Athan, looked like he was silencing them and just signaled them to start the car.

By the time we got all our belongings in the trunk, we got inside the limo and started driving towards our final destination to see what our real mission finally is about. An hour into the ride, I started to see the outline of what seemed to be an enormous castle. We drove through the gate after one of the guards touched a button and started driving through rows of trees and an enchanting lake towards the front of the massive estate.

The car finally halted and all of us exited, stretching our legs, all these servants and other body guards make a line on either side of the car from the front door all bowing as if one of us was royalty.
