"The moon has embraced the sea."
She said softly as she had him in her arms, embracing him, unaware of the fact that it was true. The moon has embraced the sea. The 'Goddess of the moon' has embraced the 'God of the sea'.
'Luna', has embraced her 'Dylan'.
But sadly, none of them realized it yet. But even though they didn't know it, somehow, in their hearts that day, they felt warm, and for him, especially for him, her hug was lessening his pain, little by little, and melted his frozen heart, also... a little by little.
Noticing his calmness, she felt relieved. And she realized that she should release him from her arms already, but somehow, she couldn't let him go, and she didn't know why. Embracing him into her arms like that, she felt something. The familiar feeling in her, and the sudden feel of the possessiveness in her, that she couldn't explain.
"The moon has embraced the sea?" He suddenly asked, and she smiled.
"Yes", she answered as she still stroking his back tenderly, "You could see from my picture that the moonlight was all over the sea, right? And... uhm... try to think about it this way, you could see the light of the moon from all over the sea. Whichever part of the sea, and wherever you are, as long as it's nighttime, you could see that the light of the moon has reached the sea."
Silence...
.
..
She kept on stroking him, and he somehow... enjoyed her touch so much, as much as she enjoyed stroking him. Both of them were kept still in that position for minutes, none of them who intended to let go first, as they enjoyed each other presence at the moment. The moment of silence between them, without words, only them, and their overwhelming feelings.
He suddenly realized their position and he pulled away shyly from her, and they suddenly felt the sudden loss towards each other.
"Thank you, Jie."
"Your welcome, Sir. Now... let's go home. Oh, wait..." She suddenly remembered something and she took his hands and looked at them closely, then she frowned.
His hands were injured, so bad, as the result of his acts before, punching the wall mercilessly.
"Oh, no. We should go back to the hospital to check your hands. I am afraid that you injured your hands too bad until you fractured them. C'mon..." She said as she stood up and pulled him up from the floor. "I'll accompany you..."
****
She was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for him to finish his treatment. She was so relieved that from the examination before, he didn't get fractured hands or broken fingers. He just needed a few days to heal his wound, and his sprained wrists, and it was also meant that he couldn't do his job as a chef for a few days, or... that's what the doctor told them that he should get some rest at least for a few days if he wanted his hands to heal completely.
She sighed...
I wonder what happened to him before that made him so devastated like that?
He looked so frustrated... and... sad...
Like he was in pain. A huge pain.
I wonder why...
"Jie..."
She snapped out from her reverie when she heard his voice, and her eyes went straight to his hands.
she frowned.
