The night sky was bright and clear, holding only a thin sheer of grey clouds covering the moon and the stars on that night. It also gave the feels of peaceful night and serenity to everyone who simply just enjoying the night sky above them, wherever they were.

But, however peaceful that night was, it wasn't applicable to the heart which belongs to one woman inside one of the hospital's VVIP rooms. She was anxious and looked so restless at that time.

She kept on shifted in her chair, her fingers fidgeted on top of her thighs. Sometimes she would look above to see the clock on the wall, then she would lower her head to see her watch, and of course, between watching the clock and the watch that only has around 2 minutes and maybe between 25 to 36 seconds difference in time, she would glance again to the sleeping man with a bandage wrapped around his head before her.

(Beep... beep... beep...)

She listened to the sound of an electronic vital sign monitor attached to his body. It was normal. All of the 'signs and numbers' were normal.

BUT WHY HAVEN'T HE WAKE UP YET? —she screamed inside her mind— WHY HE IS STILL UNCONSCIOUS?!—still screaming inside her head— wake up... Dylan, please wake up— She desperately said, still, inside her mind— he will be safe, right? He will be alive, right? He will awake, right?

She shook her head while letting out a deep sigh.

No, no, no, no. I shouldn't think that way. He will awake —she nodded with determination— he is strong. I am sure that he will be safe.

I—

Her thoughts stopped, suddenly recalling the event around three days before, and without being able to stop it, the heat began to rise into her cheeks, making her held her breath for a few seconds.

She shook her head again before flicking her own forehead with her fingers and cursed herself internally after.

Stupid Yue. How come in a time like this you think about something like that? THAT. That forbidden thing you did with your own boss, and worse, someone who you think had hurt your own best friend.

She gazed towards him again, but this time, her gaze undeniably softened.

But, he did save me, right? He saves me. Whatever his reason was, let it say it was guilt feeling or maybe just because of his impulsive instinct, he still saved me from the impact. And now he's like this. And it's all because of me.

She closed her eyes as she began to feel the sting again. The soft sting around the corner of her eyes that usually followed by the prick of tears behind her eyelids.

It was my fault.

.

.

The slight movement from his side suddenly alerted her, and her head darted up towards him.

Wait... am I imagining things? —she thought, blinking her eyes a few times.

But then she saw the movement again, stronger than before, and she unconsciously picked up her feet towards the side of his bed, silently waiting for the miracle to come, hopefully waiting for him to wake up. And then, just as her hope before...

He stirred his eyes slightly and as soon as he opened his eyes, he felt a sudden pain in his head, "Ouch!" He exclaimed then grimaced in pain before he closed his eyes again while holding his head with both of his hands.

Where am I? What happens? —he thought— why it hurts so much? My head...

"Sir? Are you awake? Oh, thank God. Thank God." she said in relief.
