i decided to accept the call.
"why did you lie to me?"
"i -i.. didn't want you t-to worry.."
i heard him sigh.
"yn... are you scared?"
"what..?"
"yeah, sorry.. i just said whatever popped up on my mind first.. just ignore me.. haha.."
"its fine.."
"how come you're alone?"
"ah.. my mom got called by her boss saying that she needed to work for the week 'til late, so.. yeah."
"for the whole week?"
"mhm.."
"how about your dad?"
"he's in a business trip."
"are you usually like this..? alone, i mean.."
"im used to it.."
the mood was getting sad, so i tried to cheer it up!
"anyways, i really enjoyed the ice cream today!"
"that's great. ill come tomorrow too, okay?"
"okay!"
i heard him chuckle a little. i smiled. i bet he looks so cute now! all covered by his blankets- i really need to stop.. :'(
"is there anything in particular that you would like to eat?"
"mm.. not really.."
"do you want it to be a surprise?"
"yeah!"
"okay, okay.." it was as if i could hear him smiling, "its getting late.. you should go to sleep."
"i was sleeping!"
"oh.. sorry for waking you up!"
i could hear that he was holding his laughter.
"sure, sure. i'll see you tomorrow, kookie."
"bye, bye, squish."
i hung up and sighed. i got through that! i'll go to sleep now.
i fell asleep quickly.
the next day, i woke up peacefully. i grabbed my phone to check what time it was. wahh~ 10:03! i woke up so late today! well, who cares..
i would've gone back to sleep, but the door opened, revealing the nurse.
she was here to do the check ups and bring me breakfast.
"here you go," she placed the place on the table after doing the check up, "enjoy!"

when she left, i started eating. it was a nice breakfast, nothing too fancy, but still good. i got startled when someone knocked on the door. it opened soon after. huh?
"surprise!"
it was taehyung!
"t-tae! w-what are you doing here?"
he smiled brightly, "jungkook told me that you were in the hospital, so i came to visit you! and.. i brought this!" he pulled out a bag from his backpack, "tadaaa~ jungkook helped me choose it!"

"oh, come on, yn! open it! open it! open it!"
"o-okay, okay, fine!"
i grabbed it and opened it. i gasped.
"t-tae!"
"try it on!"
it was a silver diamond necklace. he helped me put it on.
"i -i -"
"shhh.. thank him," he smiled at me.
i nodded and blushed a little.
"it looks good on you, yn!"
"thanks.."
"wait.. i know its off topic.. but what happened? why are you here?" he looked worried.
"oh.. you don't know?"
"nobody would tell us."
"not even jungkook told you?"
"ah.. i was too worried to ask.. oops," he smiled nervously.
"its okay, i can tell you.."
i told him what had happened.
"what?! are you kidding?!" he stood up abruptly.
"n-no..?"
"who do they think they are?! and they've been doing it since the first day you came here and you never told us anything?!"
"t-tae, calm down..!" i grabbed his arm so that he would stop moving. he turned around.
"how can i be calm when i know what happened? does jungkook know about this?"
he sat back down, next to me. i shrugged, "probably."
he was shaking his head, "those girls.. i knew they were up to something.."
i tilted my head in confusion.
"how so?"
"well.. sometimes, you can just tell when someone is a bully," he shrugged.
"what's going to happen now?"
"what do you mean?"
"in school.. are they going to come back?"
"yn.. i just found out about what happened today.. i've got no idea.."
i sighed, "i'm scared.."
"i'll be here to protect you!" he smiled at me.
i giggled a bit.
"jungkook and i will protect you from all of those mean bullies!"
"actually.. no."
he stopped dancing around. he was now looking at me.
"teach me how to defend myself."
