The classrooms were full of people Annabeth didn't know. The only one she knew was Percy. The conversation they had after Mr. Blofis left still disturbed her.

"Percy, what happened?" Sh had asked him as she gently rubbed her thumb over a bruise he had on his left cheek bone.

"Nothing. Just bumped into the cabinet while running through the house." She pretended to believe him, pretending to ignore the flinch he made when she ask him. The hesitation in his voice to even tell her what had happened.

"So, how've you been since I've been gone?" Annebeth asked and started walking to class, holding the sticky note from Mr. Blowfis that would excuse them of their tardy.

"Good." He didn't go into further detail.

"Father?"

"Good."

"Petunia?"

"Pasted. Two years ago."

"Sorry 'bout that."

"Don't be, it was more dad's cat then mine, even though I'm the one who took care of it." He shrugged.

Something was off. Definitely wrong. She could feel it.

"You okay Annie?" Percy asked, sticking out his tongue when she glared at him.

"Yeah. You?" She raised her eyebrow at him.

"Fine." He shrugged carelessly. "Why wouldn't I be?"

AN: Sorry for any misspellings. On a VERY bumpy bus.
