Lindsey pov.
Mom is taking me to the airport right now. The whole drive all she was talking about how I'm going to have so much fun with my dad. All I thought to myself was yeah sure I am. He probably doesn't even want me there, I thought to myself.
When we finally arrived at the airport mom got my bags out of the car. After she did that she hugged me then left. Leaving me standing in front of the airport with my tickets and bags. Well, I guess I'm on my own right now.
I went to the counter to check-in the lady asked me if I was flying by myself. When I said yes she told me that the flight attendants would help me out if I needed it. I said ok. I left to go find the terminal that I needed to be in. Once I did I just sat down and waited for them to say that we could board the plane.
(Skip the plane waiting and plane ride.)
The plane landed at LAX, so I guess my dad lives in California. I went to go get my bags from the baggage claim. After that, I kind of just wandered around the airport trying to find the person that was supposed to pick me up. I saw some guy holding a sign with my name on it. The guy that is holding the sign looks like he's with women in her mid to late 30s, and they are with 3 kids.
''Oh great, " I said to myself. So I went up to them praying that they were looking for someone else with the same name as me. But when I went up to them I awkwardly asked them. Umm, are you guys looking for me. One of the boys that were with this family rudely said, ''I don't know depends on what your name is."
I told them my name is Lindsey. The older guy who I am assuming is my dad came up to me and hugged me out of the blue which scared the living crap out of me because I didn't expect it. It was also really awkward.
