Chapter 8

Lindsey POV.

When dad walked into my bedroom,  he sat down in one of the bean bag chairs that I have.

He looked kind of stressed out. So I asked him, " Is everything ok, you kind of look like crap."

"Umm, I'm sort of ok, but there is something I need to ask you about." He said to me.

I said, " K, so what do you need to ask me about."

"Did you know that you had an I.E.P. at your old school, and there it said that you had a hearing loss?" Dad asked me.

I nodded and said, yes. He looked shocked then said why didn't you tell me about this.

I told him that the reason why I don't tell him was that it never bothered me or it didn't really affect me that much, so I didn't see the point in telling anyone.

Dad got up to leave my room, but before he did he told me that Sara, made me a doctor's apartment for tomorrow afternoon. I just nodded knowing that I wasn't going to get out of it. An plus I haven't been to the doctor in years because mom would never take me, so it might be a good thing that dad and Sara, are taking me.

After dad left my room, I went back to watching YouTube on my phone, until I got interrupted again by Aspen coming into my bedroom. When she saw me she looked shocked and mumbled to herself, " It doesn't look like anything is wrong with you."

I just stared at her with a confused look on my face, I eventually asked her what are you talking about. Aspen said, " well there rumors going around school that your deaf."

I shook my head and told Aspen, that I having hearing loss in my right ear from a bad ear infection from when I was little.

Aspen asked, "so you can't hear out of your right ear?"

"No, I just can't hear that well out of that ear, " I said to her.

She just stood there and said, "Ok, then ran out of my room."

After that, I fell back on my bed looking at the ceiling. Wondering how Aspen found out because I didn't tell her and I know for a fact dad didn't tell her because he just found out a few hours ago. Then I started wondering if the whole school knew, they probably did if Aspen knew about it.

Tomorrow outta be fun, I thought to myself...
