Chapter 13

Lindsey Pov.

 I woke up the next morning to Ember, jumping on top of me, yelling happy birthday.

"It's not my birthday yet your one day off, " I said to Ember.

"Happy early birthday, them, " Ember said to me. I just laughed and rolled my eyes.

After Ember wike me up and wished me a happy early birthday, we got up and started getting ready for school.

Once we got to school, Ember told me that she is going to try to find Leigh.

"Ok, I'm going to get breakfast from the cafeteria than go to my locker, " I said to Ember.

"K, " Ember said before she ran off to go find Leigh.

After Ember left, I went to get breakfast since it takes forever to do that. Then I walked to my locker to grab some books that I need and put away the ones that I don't.

While I was at my locker, I felt someone come up from behind me. But I didn't pay any attention to it Until.

"BOO!" I heard some yell from behind me. Making me jump, I turned around to see who it was, and to no surprise, it was Nathan.

"Seriously, Nathan, you scared the hell out of me, I say to him while he is basically on the ground laughing at me.

When I was finished putting my books, Nathan and I started talking about my birthday tomorrow until

Aspen and her friends interrupted our conversation.

Aspen was staring me down like I did something to her. Once Aspen was done staring at me, she said to one of her friends, " I don't know why Nathan would want to date a desperate loser like Lindsey."

When Aspen said that it took me by surprise because I knew that she didn't like me, but I never thought that she would end up saying something like that to me.

After Aspen said that they walked off laughing. "Are you ok," Nathan asked me.

I said, "yeah, Im just going to head off to class."

(Skip to lunchtime)

When my morning classes were to go find, I went to go find Ember and Leigh. I would find Nathan, but he doesn't have the same lunch as us because he is in a higher grade than us, so he has a different lunch schedule.

While we were at lunch, I saw Aspen and her friend group come in the cafeteria, which I found weird because she doesn't have this lunch. But I just shrugged it off until she walked past me, dumping a glass of tea on me then walking away laughing.

After she threw tea on me, I went to the bathroom to try and dry off.

"What the hell is her problem?" Ember asked me.

I don't know I haven't done anything to her hell I wasn't even home last night.

I spent about ten minutes in the bathroom trying to dry myself off until I finally decided to call dad and ask, "him to sign me out." Dad ended up taking me home, when he asked me what happen, I just told him that I spilled my drink on myself.

The reason why I said to him is because I don't want to make the situation between Aspen and me worst.
