"I have to head home anyway." Daniel says as he makes his way to the door. "Daniel." You whine. "Sorry Y/N I gotta go." He says as he walks out. "You scared him off!" You yell at Zach. Zach just laughs. "You were being all touchy and weird because you wanna ruin this for me." You say to Zach. "Ruin what for you?" He asks you. "My chances with Daniel." You say to him. "You were serious about liking him?" He asks you with concern. "Yes and now I know I can't trust you with anything." You say to him.
"Y/N come on, don't say that. I'm your best friend you can trust me with everything, I just didn't think it was possible for you to like Daniel." Zach says as he walks over to you. He pulls you into a hug. "Can we go to our favorite spot?" You say into his chest. "Sure." He says as he rubs your head. He lets go of you and you climb up the ladder to your roof. He sits next to you on your roof. You lay your head on his shoulder.
"How could I ever think Daniel would ever like me?" You ask Zach. "How could he not? Your funny, beautiful and smart." Zach says as he looks down at you. "Should I tell him I like him?" You ask Zach. "You mean confess to Daniel that you like him?" He asks you. "Yes." You say. "I don't know." He says to you. "I think I'm gonna do it." You say to Zach. "Whatever makes you happy." Zach says to you. "Should I do it right now?" You ask Zach. "I guess." Zach says. "I'll be back." You say as you climb down the ladder.
Zach's POV
I should have chased the girl of my dreams down that ladder and told her not to chase after some other guy but I couldn't. She only saw me as her best friend and I couldn't ruin it. I just wanted to call her mine and hold her in my arms and tell her I love her but I can't. She's in love with Daniel and there's nothing I can do.
