Chapter seven

Your POV
You rushed  out of your house and got into your car quickly. You looked up at your roof and saw Zach waving at you. Apart of you wanted to stay but you had to follow your heart even if it was leading you in the wrong direction. You drove to Daniels house and knocked on his door. He opened the door and gave you a confused look. "What are you doing here?" He asks you. "Can we talk?" You ask him. "Sure but where's Zach? Your never not with him." Daniel asks you. "I just want to talk to you one on one." You say as your voice shakes. "Your scaring me." He says as he laughs.

He leads you into the living room and you both sit down on the couch. "I've wanted to tell you this for a while but I didn't know if you felt the same. I like you Daniel. Like more than friends." You say as you look into his eyes waiting for his response. "Y/N." He says as he grabs your hands. "I just see you as a friend." He says causing your heart to break. "I care about you but not in the dating kinda way. I'm sorry I don't wanna hurt you." He says as he looks into your eyes. You feel a tear start to come down your face and you decide to get up and leave. "Y/N!" Daniel yells as he follows you.

"If we did date it would break Zach's heart." He says to you. "What about my heart? And why would it break his heart?" You ask him. "You really don't see it?" Daniel asks you. "See what?" You ask him as tears fall down your face. "That boy is in love with you." Daniel says to you. "That's bs." You say as you turn around and head home. You get into your car and cry as you drive home. You climb up the ladder to your roof and see Zach sitting there.

He turns around and looks at your face. "What happened?" He asks you but you don't answer. You collapse into his embrace. You cry into his chest as he pulls you closer to him. "He doesn't know what he's missing." Zach says as he rubs your back. "He's so perfect and I'm so ugly and annoying why did I ever think he could like me?" You say into Zach's chest. "Don't say that. You are gorgeous and perfect. And that's why I lov, I mean that's why we are best friends." Zach says to you. You feel safe in Zach's arms as you drift to sleep.

Zach's POV
Watching her cry and be upset broke my heart. If only she could love me, I wouldn't hurt her I would love and take care of her but she doesn't want me. I hold her closer to me and feel her body's heat against mine. "I love you." I whisper into her ear. She's asleep so she can't hear me but I mean it and I wish she could be mine.
