Chapter twenty eight

"Let's finish this argument tomorrow." Zach says as he turns to face the ladder. "Why can't you just go on the tour?" You ask him sharply. "Everyday I was tortured because I was always with you but I could never call you mine. Now that I can call you mine, I don't ever wanna leave you." He says back to you. Your clothes were now drenched as you stood on the roof. "You have to go. It is a once in a lifetime experience." You say back. "I'm not going, it's my decision." He says sharply. "Well your making a stupid decision so I'm helping you." You say sharply. "I can't argue over this anymore." Zach says as he puts one foot on the ladder. "Your just gonna walk away!" You yell. "I already made my decision." He says as he puts the other foot on the ladder. "Do not leave this roof!" You scream as you grab his arm.

His foot goes down to the next bar on the ladder but the rain caused the ladder to be wet and his foot slipped and he fell down. "Zach!" You yell. He was passed out at the bottom of the ladder. His head had hit the ground pretty hard. "Jonah!" You scream as you slowly go down the ladder. Jonah comes rushing to the ladder. "What did you do?" Jonah asks as he grabs his phone. "He slipped." You say quickly as tears fall down your face. You shake Zach but he doesn't respond. Jonah calls 911 as you cry harder. "He's gonna be fine, calm down." Jonah says as he rubs your back. You swat his arm away and run your fingers through your wet hair. "He slipped because we were fighting! It's all my fault." You say as you pace back and forth. "It isn't your fault Y/N. It's the rains fault." Jonah says back.

"Why does he have to be so stubborn?" You mumble as you stare at him. "Because the fight was about being with you." Jonah whispers. "See it is my fault." You say back. "Oh my God! it's not your fault. It was a accident." Jonah says. You hear sirens in the distance. You hear them get closer and closer and then they are at your house. You watched as the paramedics put your best friend I mean boyfriend on a stretcher and put him into a ambulance. "Family only." The paramedic says to you. "I'm his girlfriend." You say back. "Sorry, only family." She says leaving you and Jonah behind.

"I'll drive." You say as you grab your keys. Jonah snatches your keys from you. "Your not driving. You can't even think straight right now." Jonahs says getting in the driver seat of your car. He drives you to the hospital as you sit their anxious. Your the reason he fell, the last thing you did to him was yell at him. What if you never get to talk to him again? Tell him you love him. Have him hold you in his arms. You rub your forehead as you pull into the parking lot of the hospital. You walk inside and walk up to the front desk. "Let me do the talking." Jonah says as he steps in front of you. "We are here to see a patient." He says as he looks at the lady. "Name of patient?" She asks. "Zachary Herron." Jonah says causing you to giggle at the name Zachary. "Relation ship to patient?" The lady asks him. "Brother and sister." Jonah says with a grin. "Names." She says back. "Jonah and Y/N Herron." He says as she hands you name tags. "Room 301. 3rd floor." She says.

"Why did you say we were his siblings?" You ask him. "I'm not about to get told we have to be family to see him." Jonah says as he gets into the elevator. "You are sneaky." You say with a grin. "I just wanna see my best friend." He says as he pushes the 3 button. "He's my best friend." You say as you nudge him. "He's your boyfriend dumb dumb." He says as the elevator doors close. "Keep forgetting." You whisper as you tap your foot impatiently. "He's gonna be okay." Jonah says squeezing your hand. "How can you be sure?" You whisper. "He's a fighter Y/N." He says back.
