Neveah Ivy Jones
This had to be one of the craziest nights she's ever had.
One moment Neveah is dancing with her newfound friends, then suddenly three men surround her and start grinding up against her, their hands grab her arms and their legs press onto hers. Neveah's mind was quickly filled with fear, a burning heat fills her body and paralyzes her.
Her mind instantly thought of Christine. She'd only ever gone out clubbing with her best friend and the one night she doesn't, Neveah can't help but think it's a sign. Not just because Christine isn't here to save her (though partly for that reason) it's more than that. Neveah can't run to Christine for comfort or advice anymore. Even if this night out with Dani and Julie went well, she can't call up Christine and tell her every single detail. So in the mix of her thoughts, she feared being assaulted or kidnapped, she feared being killed, but strangely most of all, Neveah feared she lost her best friend.
Then Dani pulled Neveah into her arms, and she could breathe again.
Neveah can barely remember what happened next. People threw punches, someone pulled out a knife, finally, the threat of a gun caused security to run in. Once they got outside, Neveah was starting to think again.
The cool air brought her relief, and all she wanted to do was thank Dani, and run off back to Christine and beg for forgiveness. In the chaos around her, Neveah truly thought Dani had saved her life, and perhaps she really did.
But once she talked to the police, she took one look at Dani and her grateful smile faltered. Something was wrong with Dani.
The woman was fine in the club. She walked tall and confidently. She danced just as proudly. Even when Dani came to Neveah's rescue, she didn't back down at the sight of the intimidating men. Even once the chaos broke out, Dani led Neveah out of the club with ease.
Yet, when they got outside Dani flipped out. Everyone else stepped out and sighed in relief, whereas Dani screamed, cried, and thrashed around. Neveah put her gratitude on hold and froze. She had never seen a person freak out so badly. It almost hurt to watch, the pain on Dani's face was evident. What hurt more was to see the policemen ready to put Dani in handcuffs at any time, when Dani was the savior here!
Instead of leaving to go back to Christine's house, Neveah said yes to taking Dani home. She wouldn't have said yes at first, after all, Dani knew her the least, but KC had to stay at the club and deal with the police and Julie turned out to be a bitch and leave. That girl probably tossed Dani's phone and keys to KC and ran off. After knowing that, Neveah couldn't bear to leave Dani on her own.
"Fuck." Neveah thinks to herself over and over as she drives back to Dani's home.
She can't help but nervously glance over at Dani each time the woman slams her hand into the car door. Her anxiety was high enough after being harassed in the nightclub, but after seeing Dani freak out, her anxiety only grew more intense.
The longer Neveah drives, the more Dani seems to be able to breathe. Eventually, Dani seems to gain back control of her body, no longer slamming her arms around and instead of rubbing the palm of her hand in long slow strokes. Once Neveah notices this she releases a sigh in relief. However, her fingers still tap against the steering wheel, wondering if Dani had given her herself a bruise.
After a long thirty minutes, Neveah parks in front of the wooden cabin and releases a deep breath. Her hands tightly grip the steering wheel. She wants to speak so fucking badly, but her mind can't decide the correct thing to say.
