Rose's POV

Dominic was so damn fine. How could someone like him be this ruthless killer? I've heard so many stories about Seven. Like he was the biggest drug lord in Georgia. I didn't wanna believe that guy that I had the biggest crush on and even fell in love with was a killer.

My apartment? Yeah, I'm living in the slums. I didn't care though. Money wasn't everything to me. I didn't live in a fancy apartment, but the car I drove and the clothes I wore were far from cheap. I just didn't wanna live in a place where my daddy could keep tabs on me. I would go visit them, but they had no idea where I lived.

I was laying on my couch after a good hot shower and some chicken Alfredo. I was watching reruns of Basketball Wives. That damn Tami Roman was a trip.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I checked the time and it was midnight. I didn't have class or work tomorrow; so binge watching it was. But who the hell was knocking at my door this late. It couldn't have been Lisa because she would have called first and plus she has a key to my apartment.

I got up and checked the peephole. It was Dominic. I was afraid to open the door, but eventually I did.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Well, hey to you too," he smiled walking inside my apartment. Lord those teeth were perfect. He was the first guy I've looked in the face besides my father. And he was too fine.

"Hey, Dominic." I said closing my door and locking it. "Again, what are you doing here?"

"I wanna talk to you," he said.

"About what?"

"I took care of it," he said. I knew he was talking about Demarcus and Miguel. "I came to also give you something, but you gotta roll out with me."

"Why should I? How do I know you just won't do me like Demarcus did?"

"Look, ma, I know you've probably heard a lot about me, but one thing about it, I've never hurt a woman or child. Why would I start now?"

"Okay," I agreed. "I gotta get dressed first."

"Aight," he said licking his lips and looking at me.

I blushed. I ran upstairs and slid on some skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. It was just something simple.

"I'm ready," I said walking back into my living room.

We left and started riding. In about 45 minutes we pulled up in front of this beautiful, brick house. It had a white picket fence around it. It also had a sold sign in the front yard. I know he didn't bring me to his house,

"What's this?" I asked him.

"This is your new house," he said. I looked at him like WHAT THE FUCK! "Look, Rose. There's no way in hell your parents know you're living in that apartment. Hell, your old house was bigger than my house, and I know we had like five bedrooms. I saw your apartment and I said fuck that shit. I know the man that owns this house. I bought it for 250 thousand."

"Why would you buy me a house? You think you're gonna get something in return? Like I owe you or something?"

I was angry. This is why I don't trust men now. They always wanted something.

"Shut up, Rose," he said sternly. "I don't want nothing from you. I have a woman at home. She takes damn good care of my needs and has been doing it for six fucking years. So chill the fuck out with that shit." He sighed and rubbed his hand across his face.

"I did this because I wanted to. It's outta guilt. I should have kept in touch after what happened to you. Except all I did was walk away. I should've been there for you."

I looked out the window and roll my eyes. It was a beautiful house. "Can I see the inside?" I asked.

He smiled and handed me the keys. I got out and walked to the door. I opened it, and it was so beautiful. I walked around and it was a two bedroom house with 1 1/2 bathrooms. The bathroom was huge though. It had a walk-in shower and a jacuzzi tub. Honestly, I was loving this house.

"Dominic, this place it beautiful," I was cheesing.

"I furnished it as well. Everything you see in here is new. All you have to do is decorate it the way you would like."

"Thank you," I said and I hugged him. Damn he smelled good. I quickly jumped back. "I'm sorry," I said looking down.

He lifted my chin with his finger. "Stop looking down, Ma. I hate that shit. You are beautiful and you are free. You don't have to worry about anybody ever hurting you again. I'ma always be there for you. I'm just a phone call away." He looked down at his apple watch and then looked back up at me. "Oh, don't worry about your apartment. They crew about to pull up to the house now with your stuff."

I was amazed.
