Chapter 8

Rose's POV

When I got the knock at the door that night, I was confused as hell. Why would I be receiving gifts for anything? I opened the gift and it was a beautiful red dress. I mean it was really beautiful. Taped to the box was a letter. I quickly opened it knowing it was from Dominic. Nobody else knew anything about where I lived.

Dear Rose, I know we haven't talked in almost three months, but please do me a favor and join me at Seven's Rose. It's a club that I own, and I really would like for you to help celebrate my birthday.

This would be my first time going out since that night I was raped. I was scared as hell. I called Lisa up to see if her and April was up for clubbing tonight.

"What's up, chica?" Lisa answered.

"You wanna go out tonight?" I asked her.

"Hell yah!! What's gotten into you?"

She was the only one that knew about me and Dominic. I mean for Christ's sake, she's been my best friend since I was 10. She knew what happened to me that night. She knew everything about me.

"Dominic is having a birthday party at this club called Seven's Rose."

"Are you serious? He named a club after you?" she started laughing.

She was so full of shit. This club had nothing to do with me. At least I didn't think so.

"Girl you full of shit. Anyways be ready by 10:00. I'll pick you up. Ask April if she wanna go too."

"I got you, mamas." she said. After that we hung up.

I started to get myself together for tonight. It was 4:45. I had time to go get my nails and hair done. As I laid the dress and the accessories out on the bed, I noticed the clutch was kinda heavy. I opened it, and I pulled out about 75bands. Why would he give me all this money and this outfit and he know I got my own money. I didn't care though. This was going towards my hair and nails.

It was about 7 o'clock when I finished. I stopped by a jewelry store and found Dominic a platinum gold Rolex. He was gonna love this gift.

Once I got home, I wrapped my hair up and took a shower. I did my makeup. It wasn't much. I had the girl at the hair salon put on my lashes for me. So all I did was apply some red and gold eyeshadow and some red lipstick.

By the time I was dressed and walking out my door, it was 9:45. I texted Lisa and told her I was on the way. After I picked them up we headed on to the party.

The line was long as hell. I'm glad he put in there another note saying walk to the front of the line and give the bouncer my name.

"What's up, shawty?" the big dude asked.

"Yeah, I'm Rose. Dominic said to give you my name."

"Oh, yeah. Damn you fine as hell." He opened the rope and said, "Y'all go ahead." We could hear the bitches in line pop their lips and suck their teeth. Hating ass hoes.

We headed in. We were just staking out the place. We found us a table and I started to head to the bar. It just so happened that I felt these eyes staring at me, and I looked right into the eyes of Dominic. He had on some khaki pants and a red button down polo shirt. He was dressed just like me.

I began walking towards him. When I got to the VIP section, Ashton stood up. "What the hell is she doing here?"

"I'm not staying long," I said to her. "Nick, I just came to say happy birthday, and to give you your birthday gift."

"Why don't you stay awhile," Dominic asked. "Enjoy the night."

I smiled. "Thanks. Lisa and April said for me to tell you happy birthday. I'ma head back over to them."

I walked away from them. I went back to Lisa and April and we partied all night. I actually enjoyed myself. I was at the bar about to get another drink when I left someone grab my hand.

"Come with me," I heard Nick say to me.

I followed behind him and he took me to his office.

Once we were alone in his office, I asked him, "Seven's Rose? Does that mean something?"

"Yeah I named this after my childhood crush. She was my first love actually. I hate I lost her."

I blushed. Lisa was actually right. This club was named after me. "You could have her back. I bet all you gotta do is ask. That is if you want her back."

"Oh, I know," he said. "The question is do she want me back? I mean I did break her heart. I used her unintentionally."

"Why would you dress me like you? Isn't Ashton your fiancée and carrying your baby?"

"That is true, but my heart isn't with her. My heart is with you. I gotta have you."

"What about your child? You know I can't give you children."

"I don't have to be with Ashton to take care of my child. Say you want me, Rose," he said to me.

Lord knows I do want this man.
