David's POV:

I woke up this morning feeling a little sleepy still. I went to bed late last night replaying the kiss Natalie gave me on the cheek. It was shocking because she is shy especially when it comes to showing affection. The only people I have never seen her hold back from is my girls.

There's only a few days left before I have to go back to the office. Jason is doing a hell of a job at running it but it's time for me to step up now. Speaking of Jason, he's coming over for dinner to meet Natalie and spend some time with the twins. Jason has been inquiring a lot of information about her, he says I talk about her a lot. I don't think I do. Anyways Jason is a big part of my life, he's always been there for me and he especially stepped up when I needed him most. My girls love him, I love him, and Natalie will too. I know it.

I got up to get ready for the day and I go to wake up the girls as well. After I showered I chose to stay in sweats since we weren't doing much for the day. The girls were already up and playing in their room which is surprising since they love to sleep in. I helped them brush their teeth and comb their hair. I also let them stay in their pajamas.

"I'll race you girls to the kitchen." I told them.

Before I could count to three they were already gone and racing downstairs. I laughed because they learned that behavior from me. I was going to let them win of course so I just walked slowly down the hallway toward the stairs. I must have been day dreaming because something small and hard bumped into my chest. It was Natalie.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." I tell her.

"It's okay. I wasn't looking where I was going either."

After a bit of an awkward silence, I gesture toward the stairs and say, "Ladies, first."

I follow her downstairs and see the girls were already sitting at the dining table. Breakfast was already made courtesy of our chef. Ally and Abby wasted no time in digging in. I pulled out Natalie's chair since it was the gentlemanly thing to do. Abby was telling us about her new imaginary friends and how they were the ones responsible for the drawing on the wall incident two weeks ago. Ally just looked at her sister like she was crazy because she claims to never have met these so called imaginary friends.

After breakfast we decided to watch Madagascar since the girls both like it and there would be no arguing. After it Ally quietly suggested that we should build forts in the living room and watch movies all day. It sounded like a great plan, and Natalie agreed too.

"Daddy, me and Ally want our own fort. You and Nat can share one."

We had made two forts so that one adult can be with one of the girls. Apparently that did not sound like a good idea to the girls. The forts were big enough to fit two adults but it would be in close proximity of one another. They were constructed of three walls made of sheets and one open side where you can see the TV. Inside was two layers of blankets and several pillows creating a little border.

"Girls, I thought we each were going to share with one of you?" I ask. I was nervous because I didn't want to make Natalie uncomfortable.

"It's okay. I don't mind sharing with you so the girls can be together." she says with a simple smile.

"Okay, I guess it's settled then." I respond.

We picked Madagascar 2 to continue the little movie marathon we were having. The girls settled into the first fort with plenty of space for them both. I was already in the second one and had little room left for Natalie which means we would have to be close. But who's complaining. She went to use the restroom quickly and when she came back and saw the situation, she looked quite nervous.
