"Woah, Nat are you sure?" David replied.  I mean I get why he would ask since I wasn't 100% sure myself.

"I don't know...I recognize the aggressive voice and every time I'm around him I get this weird vibe. We went to school around the same time, and he admitted to constantly wearing the varsity jacket. After tonight's event I just get a strong inclination that he had something to do with it. I just don't want to be wrong."

"Hey, Nat you don't have to explain anything to me. The way he behaved tonight is unacceptable and I will talk to him about it tomorrow." He replied rubbing my back. He takes a moment before he added, " I just had to digest what you first told me. I've known Jeff a couple of years now and I guess I never picked up on the signs. I knew he had a temper but I never knew he would be capable of doing something like that."

"Look I know he's a good friend of yours so that's why I want to be a 100% sure it was him. I can't just straight up accuse him with no proof but after today's aggressive behavior, I don't know what to do."

"Nat we'll get to the bottom of this, I promise. I want you to have justice and closure even if that means accepting that it could have been Jeff." He reassured me.

"Let's try to get some rest and deal with this tomorrow." I said rubbing my hand on his cheek. He nodded in agreement and brought me in closer to him. In  his arms I knew I was safe.  David has only been in my life for a short amount of time, but everything is just so natural between us. Nothing is rushed and nothing ever feels forced. Besides a kiss, he hasn't even tried to make a move on me. Every guy has always just wanted one thing but Dave seems to just want me, no matter how broken and fucked up my past is.

The sun was shining and peaked through the cracks of the blinds through the windows. My eyes opened and immediately squinted trying to adjust to the light. I realized I fell asleep on David's shoulders and looked up to still find him sound asleep. The sunlight illuminated his face making him appear even more handsome than ever. I smiled at the ability to be able to be in his arms like this. I wish I could wake up everyday to that face.

"I can feel you staring at me." David said with a whisper.

"Sorry, I couldn't help it. You're just too cute." I said while I pinched his cheeks.

He opened his eyes to already find me staring at him and smiled. He grabbed me by my waist and flipped us so he was leaning over me. He held himself up with one hand and with the other brushed my hair out of my face before he said, "The only cute one is you."

"I know you have a lot on your mind but I want you to be rest assured that we will figure everything out and get the person responsible behind bars." David said.

I looked up to him as he was still hovering above me, his face inches from mine. I heard the sincerity in his voice. I looked into his eyes and knew that what he was saying, he meant it. I couldn't contain my emotions anymore and I closed the gap between us and kissed him.

It wasn't a peck but it wasn't a full on make-out session either. It was a kiss filled with everything I was trying to convey to him that I couldn't say out loud. It was kiss of promise of a future. I was letting him know that the feelings were mutual.

"Not that I'm complaining like at all, but what was that for?" He said with a blush on his cheeks.

"That was for being you and believing me and backing me up."

"Oh Nat you never have to thank me for that. I will always do my best to protect you."

"You have got me falling for you, David Dobrik."

"Can I tell you a secret?"

"Yes."

"I've already fallen."
