Wonderland in the Dark

Chapter 7

The next morning Sogo woke up to Tamaki laying next to him. He didn't know what to do. Why was he in his room?

"Tamaki-kun..?" Sogo whispered, shaking him lightly. "Time to wake up" He kept shaking him but the Hatter continued to sleep. Sighing he decided to just let him sleep, sitting up to go make breakfast. Instead, Tamaki pulled him back down. 

"Go back to bed.." he mumbled.

"So you're awake. Why are you in my bed?"

"I wanted to wake you up but I ended up sleeping next to you, sorry..." Tamaki said, sitting up. Sogo sighed, smiling gently to him as he leaned against Tamaki.

During the days that past before Yuki's unbirthday party they had grown a bit closer. Tamaki was a good kid, so was his friends. He enjoyed getting to hang out with them, as well as get to know them and their world better. Though he still had a lot to learn.

He and Tamaki were especially closer, but he knew he shouldn't get attached. It'd only make him not want to leave. Getting off the bed, he helped Tamaki stand up, pulling him to the kitchen.

"Remember, you said you'd show me around Wonderland. I'm looking forward to it" Sogo said, while preparing breakfast for them.

'It'll be like a date..of course I'd never ask him if it's like that' Tamaki thought, humming in reply. He was used to sleeping in, so he was a bit tired still, but Sogo had been waking him up early in the morning. It was hard to get used to but he didn't complain much. If he asked nicely if he could sleep a bit longer he would normally let him. 

Sogo handed him a plate of food which he happily ate. He also learned Sogo didn't eat everything with hot sauce and could eat some sweets, just not a lot as he didn't like sweet snacks. Spicy and bitter things on the other hand he could tolerate. It was rather strange but also interesting. The more he learned about Sogo the closer he got to him. 

He almost wanted to ask Sogo to stay in Wonderland. But he had already tried dropping subtle hints to which he'd dismiss or not understand what he was trying to say. 

"Hey So-chan..would you ever live in a place like our world if you could?" Again he tried dropping a hint that he wanted Sogo to stay.

"Hmm..Maybe. It would be nice if it wasn't near a forest you could easily get lost in and not as confusing" he replied. "Though I'm fine with where I live currently"

"I see.." he tried to think of something else to say. "Do..you really want to go home that badly?"

"I'm not in a rush to return, but yes. I miss my home, I'm sure if you went to my world you'd yearn to go home too"

"I'd miss everyone that's for sure" As much as he wanted to say he'd be fine as long as he was with Sogo, he couldn't deny he would miss Wonderland and his friends. So he just had to accept that Sogo probably be completely happy staying.

He laughed, sitting next to Tamaki, "Enough talking, eat your food so we can go explore" It was obvious that he was a bit excited to finally see more of Wonderland. So far he had only seen the Room of Doors, Tulgey Woods and the kingdom Yuki ruled. He wondered how many other locations there was in their land. It was clear there was another kingdom due to Momo being another king.

Tamaki put his fork in front of Sogo, "You should eat too" he said. Sogo ate the food the Hatter had offered him but turning away with a light blush afterwards. But Tamaki kept offering him more food, finding it fun to mess with him. After they finished eating the two set off so Sogo could have a grand tour of Wonderland.

Tamaki told him about the places they would go see like the Meadow of Living Flowers, especially warning him about the flowers, Iori's house, Momo's kingdom, etc. He was glad Tamaki was the one who had offered to show him around, enjoying his company. Though he wondered what the others were up to.

"Happy unbirthday..!" Riku said, he had snuck into Tenn's house while he was gone and set up a small party for the two of them. He waited until Tenn got home so he could surprise him. Surprised he was.

"Unbirthday? I've never heard of something like that" Tenn chuckled.

"It's everyday except your birthday. We celebrate unbirthdays at our tea party! Yuki-san's was celebrated yesterday and now today I'm going to celebrate yours!" 

"I see. Is it fine its just us though?"

Riku nodded, pulling Tenn over to the table where he had some desserts and tea set. He wasn't surprised since it was what the Dormouse and his friends ate at their tea parties. It made him wonder if they knew how to cook anything else though. 

He watched as Riku picked up a fork and ate a strawberry from one of the cakes. This was one of the few times he had seen him wide awake. It must be because this was a special occasion. When the Dormouse went to eat another bite of the cake he grabbed his hand and ate it before he could.

"My cake..." 

"It tastes good. Did you make all this yourself?" he smirked licking his lips.

"Kind of..I had Mitsuki help me cook everything and bring it here.." he tried to eat some cake again but Tenn ate that too. "..Cake.."

"Here" Tenn took the fork from Riku, picking up some cake and holding it out to him. He let Riku eat the cake this time. It was fun feeding him cake. Honestly it was cute whether Riku ate the cake he fed him or whined when he ate it instead. 

"Hey Tenn..do you want anything for your unbirthday? Like a gift..I'll do my best to get you what you want.." Riku asked with a small yawn.

Thinking for a moment he smirked, leaning toward Riku and whispering what he wanted in his ear. This caused him to blush and tilt his head. How would he begin to explain this to the others.
