Wonderland in the Dark

Chapter 4

"Hello sleepy mouse"

This startled him awake, looking over to see one of the trump soldiers. It was the shortest one, Tenn, he was alone this time. "Ah..you scared me *yawn* Mm..who..?"

"We've met a few times remember? I'm hurt you forgot about me" he faked being upset.

"Sorry..tired, you're that trump soldier..right? I never learned your names...I don't think I ever asked" he scratched his cheek, trying to remember if he ever knew his name.

"That's right, we were always interrupted before I got a chance to. My name is Tenn. Yours is Riku correct?" The Dormouse nodded, yawning again. "May I sit down?" Another nod.

Sitting down next to Riku he smiled and took his hat off. Riku leaned against him, eyes close and mumbling. He nudged his head against Riku's, the boy nudged back. If his friends didn't interrupt them so much they'd know he was actually just playfully messed with the Dormouse. The two actually got along well together. 

"Always sleepy..you're so cute like this..." he said quietly. "You're warm.." Riku mumbled. Tenn laughed a little, "Of course I am..you are too..Now, why don't we get you home" he stood up, pulling Riku up. He groaned as he was lead back home again. No one really paid attention to the two, it was normal to see the trump soldiers around sometimes. 

'He hasn't changed since I first met him..'

"Hey, wake up" Tenn said, poking the Dormouse. He was there to check up on the mad tea party since Gaku and Ryuu were busy with other orders. This was the first time he was meeting the host and guests of the tea party. 

The only one there at the time was the Dormouse, he had heard that he was normally asleep. This was proved to be true. 

"Huh..? Wha..." he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "Is it time for the tea party?" He looked to Tenn, "Eh? Are you a new *yawn* guest?"

He shook his head no. "I'm only here to check up on things. Where is the March Hare and Mad Hatter?" 

"Uhh..I think they're on their way. I got here early..want some tea?" he reached out and grabbed a cup, drinking from it. Tenn couldn't help but laugh because the cup was empty. He gently grabbed Riku's hand, pulling it out so he could pour tea into the cup for him. Riku blinked with a confused expression before drinking the tea. "Tea.."

"What's your real name Dormouse?"

"Riku..hmm *mumble mumble*" he set the cup down, resting his head on his arms. "Sleepy time..good night mister trump soldier..." he closed his heads, falling asleep again.

"Sleep well Riku" Tenn smiled, leaning down and kissing his forehead. He held Riku to him, "So cute..I hope you have good dreams" he whispered only to get a mumble in reply.

"Who are you? And what gives you the right to touch Rikkun?"

He looked over to see the Hatter and March Hare had arrived. But they didn't seem happy to see someone they didn't know touching Riku. "He doesn't seem bothered by it. Besides it's not your decision of who can or can't touch him" he glared to the two.

"You're an uninvited guest, so go away and leave Riku alone" Mitsuki said.

He just smiled before kissing Riku's head and pulling him even closer, "I'd rather stay with the cute little mouse" This angered the two since Riku couldn't defend himself when he was asleep. They weren't going to risk him getting taken advantage of. They pulled Tenn away from him and pushed him back to the path. He simply chuckled as he walked off.

All the other times were basically the same scenario. Once or twice Riku was actually awake and just seemed confused to why Tenn suddenly kissed his head and why his friends sent him away after he did. He wasn't really bothered by his antics and when they were alone he kissed his cheek in return. It became a habit of theirs as a way to be playful to each others.

Tenn tucked Riku into bed, watching as he curled up under the covers. He heard him mumble something but he couldn't hear what he said. As he turned to leave, deciding to ask about Sogo later, he felt Riku grab his hand.

"Stay until I'm completely asleep.." he yawned. He wouldn't let go of Tenn's hand until he kneeled down next to his bed. "Good night..." he muttered.

"Sweet dreams" he kissed his forehead. "Let me do the same.." Riku said, waving his hands out slightly. Tenn just smiled, leaning over so Riku could kiss his forehead in return. "I have to go now..but I'll be back later, I want to talk to you about something" Riku muttered an 'okay' before falling asleep.  After he was sure he was fully asleep, he stood up and left the house.

"I'm back Tamaki-kun!" 

"Welcome back, that took longer than I thought" Tamaki said, eating what appeared to be his sixth pudding since there was five empty jars. 

"Sorry, I had a talk with Riku-kun. He told me about the locations I've been to so far. So I told him about where I was from" 

"Tell me about your world too So-chan!~" he pouted, patting the couch. Sogo shook his head, smiling as he set the hot sauce bottles down. He also gave Tamaki the bag of money back as he said he would. He began telling him what he had told Riku. As he thought, not even Tamaki understood much of what he talked about. So it was likely Mitsuki and everyone else wouldn't understand either. Still, he listened to everything he said completely interested. 

"I wonder though..is Wonderland connected to our world...?"

"Don't know. Iorin might but he's always busy! If he manages to make it to Yukirin's unbirthday party you can ask him about it though" 

"We'll just have to see..Hey Tamaki, why are you called the 'Mad' Hatter. You don't seem mad..." 

"Just what I'm called. Why, did you think I was mad?"

"Not really, though I'm glad you aren't. It's nice to be able to talk to you normally. I hope you and the others can help me adjust to your world until I can go home" 

"We'll show you around after the tea party. For now you should get accustomed to the city. Oh yeah, maybe I should get food for you, since you didn't eat the desserts due to your taste in food"

"Speaking of food, is it okay if I cook some food for your party? I can cook some now to let you try before deciding" 

"Alright! Just none of that hot stuff please.."

Sogo laughed, nodding before heading to the kitchen to start cooking. Maybe it wouldn't be to bad here. But he still had to see the rest of Wonderland, so he wouldn't be quick to judge it just yet.
