Laying in bed, Sogo stared at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts. He knew Tamaki had grown attached to him, honestly he felt as if he he was attached to Tamaki too. But would it ever work out? Unlike them, he didn't have a role in Wonderland, he was just an outsider who shouldn't be there. Eventually they'd have to say goodbye to each others.
Was he ready for that?
"I shouldn't of gotten attached..but I don't regret it either. If I could stay I would" he mumbled and curled up.
Leave or stay. He knew he should leave, it's what he's been wanting to do, he didn't belong there, continually telling himself that from the beginning. But at the same time, he wanted to stay with his new friends. It's not like he had any attachments in his world.
Suddenly he heard a knock on his bedroom door, causing him to jump a little.
"C-Come in..!"
The door opened and Tamaki walked in. "Are you okay So-chan? You've been in your room most of the day" he said, sitting on the edge of the bed and rubbing Sogo's arm to comfort him.
"I'm fine. I was just thinking. Do you need something Tamaki-kun?"
"I'm bored, let's go play!"
Sogo laughed, it never ceased to amaze him at how childish Tamaki could be. "Should we invite the others then?"
"I wanna play with just So-chan!"
"Ahah, alright. What do you want to do?"
"Mm.." he tried to think of something he and Sogo could do together.
Tea parties is what he and his friends did a lot, but he didn't want to throw another. They had already explored the main areas of Wonderland. He refused to explore the other areas of their world with Sogo because he wasn't sure if it was safe or not.
Sogo tilted his head, waiting patiently for an answer. But it looked like Tamaki was having a hard time thinking of something.
"We could go shopping or take a walk together" Sogo smiled gently.
With those suggestions, he nodded and began pulling Sogo by the hand. He seemed excited to be able to spend more time with him. They didn't know how much time they had left to spend together. To Tamaki it felt like any minute Sogo would be gone. So he wanted to be with him every second until it was time he had to leave.
Dragging him through the streets, stopping at various shops and pointing at the items being sold. Sogo couldn't help but laugh a little. Tamaki was determined to make sure they had a good time together.
They didn't end up buying anything but occasionally caught glimpses of Nagi and Mitsuki walking around hand in hand. Once Tamaki ran up and hugged them both from behind which startled them. Only to startled himself when Sogo did the same to him.
Though now, Sogo was sitting down while waiting for Tamaki to buy them some food.
"You seem to be having fun"
This startled Sogo this time as he wasn't aware Iori had walked up to him. He didn't seem bothered by his reaction though.
"Iori-kun, you scared me..!"
"Sorry. But I had some time to look for a way for you to get home. Since you followed me through the rabbit hole, you might be able to use the same method to get back"
"Really? Ah, when can I go home then specifically"
"Anytime. Just let me know and I'll lead you back to your world"
"Give me a day.."
Iori could tell by Sogo's saddened expression that he was worried about telling everyone he was planning on leaving. Though he wondered more about how the Hatter would react.
"Alright, meet me where you originally came from when you entered our world then tomorrow"
"Right..please tell the others where to meet. I'll tell Tamaki-kun myself"
Iori nodded before rushing off to get back to his usual duties. Not even a minute later, Tamaki came back with some food for them.
"So-chan I'm back!- Are you okay?" he tilted his head in confusion.
Looking up, he tried his best to smile as to not worry Tamaki. But it was a little late, as he set the food aside and grabbed Sogo's hands.
"Tell me what's wrong"
"..I..I'll tell you later. Let's just enjoy our day"
He could tell that didn't get rid of any worry Tamaki felt, but he reluctantly agreed and let go of his hands. Picking up their food and handing it to Sogo before sitting down next to him.
How was he planning on telling him. Maybe he'd wait until the morning, he didn't want to end their day with him worrying about him leaving the next day.
They sat their enjoying their food, talking about their day and what the others might be doing. Tamaki told him about how Gaku and Ryuu went on dates sometimes when they weren't busy with their jobs. How he even caught them kissing, or maybe rather making out sometimes. Either way they got embarrassed whenever they got caught and Tenn would lecture them about it.
For the entire day they went around the kingdom window shopping, talking and exploring around the area. Eventually it was getting late, so they decided to head home.
"I'm glad we spent the day together So-chan! What do you think we should do tomorrow? There won't be another tea party for another few days. Everyone's busy.."
"Ahah..y-yeah..tomorrow..Um, well. Let's think about it and figure something out. For now I'm kind of tired, so why don't we get some rest?"
"Okay, can I sleep with you tonight?"
Sogo stopped in his tracks, blushing deeply at the idea of sharing a bed with Tamaki. He didn't want to reject him so he quickly agreed, walking quickly into the house. The Hatter smiled as he pulled the short boy into his room and laid down together.
"Goodnight So-chan"
"..G-Goodnight.." he muttered, moving closer and burying his face against Tamaki's chest.
Tomorrow he'd have to tell him about what Iori had told him. Was he ready to tell him though? He was worried that he'd hurt him. But he deserved to know the truth.
Right now though, he just wanted to sleep. Sighing he fell asleep in Tamaki's arms.
