Chapter 5
School had started back up, and Jon couldn't wait to use his powers to confuse the hell out of people. He went to a catholic school, even though he never really 'believed'. In the morning, everyone in his class had to light a candle each. From the very moment Jon knew that they were lighting candles, he knew that this was an opportunity for a great trick. The class had to hand around a box of matches. His teacher, Mr Crimson, who Jon particularly disliked, tried to light his candle first. Jon didn't let the match ignite. Mr Crimson repeatedly stroke the match against the matchbox, but nothing happened. The class giggled as he tried for what was probably the sixth attempt to light this match. Then Jon had a great idea. When Mr Crimson tried once again, Jon allowed the match to ignite, but caused the tiny flame to enlarge, making the the match turn into a flame-thrower. Then Jon had an absolutely brilliant idea. He extinguished the flame. The class gasped and caught their breath, astonished by the sight they just witnessed.
"Calm down everyone!" shouted Mr Crimson. He struck another match, leaning away from it this time, and once again, Jon caused the flame to grow to a huge size, but this time manipulated it so it spelled out text. Slowly, he wrote "MR CRIMSON, SATAN IS WATCHING YOU" Mr Crimson walked backwards, and fell onto the floor, shaking in fear. A few girls screamed. Jon extinguished the flame, and calmly looked around the room, smiling to himself. He had caused a nice amount of chaos. Mr Crimson got up and ran out of the room. The bell went, and Jon smiled, and thought of a nice trick he could pull off in Maths.
