Chapter 7
Jon didn't use his powers for the rest of the day. He knew it would be too suspicious. So he waited one week, and spent most of his time experimenting with his powers in a nearby field. He managed to light his whole arm on fire, completely ruining the shirt he was wearing. He also attempted to fly, thinking of the Human Torch and his almost identical abilities, but that completely failed. All he did was ruin the surrounding grass. Mr Crimson had quit his job, and Miss Hansen had to go to hospital, for extreme burns on the lips, tongue and throat. And when it was time for him to return to school on Monday, he was ready for a whole new selection of pranks.
