Chapter 8
Jon didn't want to begin straight away, so he decided that the pranks would begin after lunch. After he had eaten, he saw a young boy being picked on by a group of other boys. Jon approached, and listened to what they were saying. It wasn't exactly polite. Jon walked straight up to them, and stood in front of the boy, facing the group. They were a few years younger than him, but they didn't seem afraid.
"Leave him alone" he ordered. The group laughed. One boy then said
"What are you gonna do? Tell the teacher?" he mocked. Jon thought about his options. Oh screw it, let's get some pranks in early. He flicked open his hand, igniting a large flame between his finger tips.
"Leave him alone" he said, this time much louder. The boys were shocked, and began to walk away. Jon looked at them. Suddenly, a large cloud of sparks appeared at their feat, fizzing loudly. Then they begun to run. Jon smiled but also a little confused, because he didn't think about throwing sparks at the boys, and looked at the bullied boy. He looked equally terrified. Jon's smile slowly dropped. Did he just do the right thing?
