It had been a week since I had last talked to Asahi. All my friends were nagging me and telling me to call him or ask him on a date. But I couldn't just ask him. We barely knew each other.
Our team had a combined practice with some girls from Karasuno's team. Of course, my friends took this chance to hunt down Asahi. And when I say hunt, I mean hunt.
Keiko literally brought a pair of binoculars and a tranquilizer gun. I wish I was kidding.
When we got there, my friends completely ignored the practice and started questioning students to see if they had seen Asahi anywhere.
One girl said that he was on the volleyball team and they had practice in the gym. Keiko and Tomiken dragged me to the gym before I could protest.
We reached the doors and I hesitated. "What if doesn't remember me?" I blurted out.
They both turned to me and looked confused. "He obviously does," Tomiken consoled me, "how could he forget such a pretty face?" She winked at me and I shied away from speaking out.
They opened the doors and practically pulled me inside. A couple people turned to look, but most of them continued to practice. Tomiken scowled when she noticed that a couple boys from Aoba Johsai had come to watch.
"Ignore them, Tomiken." I placed a hand on her shoulder as she turned her head to hide a slight blush.
I never understood why she hated Oikawa so much. I guess they broke up after a big fight. Or at least, that's what I was told.
I noticed a larger male standing at the opposite end of the court, his hair tied into a little bun with a headband around his head. Beads of sweat dripped down his forehead down to his cheeks and eventually reaching his chin and dropping to the floor. I could stare at his eyes forever.
It seemed like he hadn't noticed me until a shorter boy nudged his shoulder and whispered something in his ear. He immediately blushed and averted his eyes from my gaze.
I looked away cautiously and my friends were both staring at me, smug looks on their faces.
"Whaaaat!?" I whined at them.
"I told you he'd remember you." Tomiken spoke in a sing-songy voice.
"Well why don't you go see if Oikawa remembers you." I spoke without thinking, not intending to hurt her. She looked away, blushing.
"I'd rather not...." she crossed her arms and stood up. "Let's go get a seat so we can watch (y/n) make her move." A slight smirk curled on her blush-pink lips. She grabbed Keiko's arm and dragged her to the bleachers.
I sighed and hoisted myself up from my seat. My palms got hot and were quickly drenched in sweat.
I walked over to Asahi with my head down and stood at the sideline awkwardly. A small boy approached me while the gentle giant stood in the background, his face flushed.
"My friend wants to talk to you!" He smiled and pointed behind him. Asahi glanced away and the small boy started pulling on his arms, trying to get him to move.
His attempts were successful and Asahi approached me. "Um....hi." He rubbed the back of his neck. "So, I'm pretty sure you remember me." He was so adorable when he was flustered.
"Yeah," I couldn't think of what to say! Tomiken's words from earlier revealed themselves in my memory. "it's hard to forget such a pretty face." I smiled, my face beet red.
He covered his face, his friends enjoying the show in the back. "So....." he finally spoke, "would you, maybe, possibly, if you want to of course, um...... go on a date with me!" He was clearly embarrassed by the fact that he, evidently, said that louder than intended.
I was shocked by the words and blushed a deep, dark red. "S-sure!" I said, stiffly and almost robot-like. His friends cheered from the back and I could feel Tomiken smirking from behind me.
"I'll um......text you the details." He spoke quietly.
"It's a date!" I smiled and made my way back towards my friends.....

Hey! So sorry for taking so long to update the story! It's been a lot of effort to get all of my work done before exams and the 2nd semester grade cutoff. I hope you enjoy this chapter and, once again, Asahi loves you!
