Before I knew it, it was Friday afternoon.
I just got home from school, picking up the newspaper, & unlocking the door.
Immediately, I was greeted by my dog & he kept scratching at me. Where was my mom? I searched the house, & she was no where.
I go outside & yell "MOM!". I search the patio. Nothing. I go down the patio steps & in the distance is a lawn chair facing the trees. I start to walk over, & as I get closer I notice that my mom is in the chair. I see her chestnut brown hair, & a whirl of relief comes over me.
I step beside the chair & turn my head. On the chair is my mom, with her eyes closed & earplugs in, wearing some ridiculous face mask. She looked like a pukey green oatmeal monster. I lightly tapped on her on the shoulder.
"AHHHHHHH!!" She screamed.
"Mom! It's just me! Your daughter, Jen!" I pleaded back.
She slowly got up & took out her earplugs.
"Never ever, do that again. You are not supposed to interrupt me in the middle of meditation." she said.
Without another word, she went inside.

Ugh, I absolutely have nothing to wear!
It's 5:30 & I have to leave in 15 minutes because the cliffs are a good 45 minutes away. I finally found this really pretty (and comfortable) sweater. I paired it with light wash jeans and my vans. Surprisingly, it was a warm day so my outfit was perfect.
I went into my washroom to reapply my makeup and curl my hair. I grabbed my purse and my wallet so I could maybe buy something while I was there.
"MOM WE HAVE TO GO!" I yelled.
"I know, I'm right here calm down." she said while putting on earrings.
We got in our red van and started down Honeyburch lane.
