Prince's POV

I feel as if I should be used to the darkness by now. In the past few hours that I have had this form I have become one with the darkness too many times for me to remember.

The shadows feel different this time though. More familiar, I would even say, comforting. I continued to feel confused as the shadows took form in front of me. I don't think that anyone who hasn't seen it will understand but, seeing layers upon layers of pure darkness and shadows fold and shift into an almost human like shape is definitely one of the most terrifying things I have seen.

It pierced my soul with one look from its spiritless, cold glowing eyes. It spoke. "I see you found them." It said in a voice that sounded like skeletons rattling in their coffins. "No matter. You have only met the good ones yet; the pure ones. With the next you won't be as lucky. This one is a child after my own heart. A prince of disloyalty and son of lies. I doubt that a snake like this one can change his ways."

The shadow made a gesture, like he was holding out his hand. There was a flicker of flame in its ghostly palm. An angry growl of a voice echoed in my head, a voice of an angel if I ever heard one.

"You don't know what it's like! You don't know me! You will never want to know me... cause if you do... I might just end up breaking you..."

The shadow started fading before my eyes, him looking at me all knowingly, taunting me about what's to come and the angel's voice faded to noise. The shadow said one last remark. "I would wish you good luck but I'm afraid even that won't get you through what's about to happen to you and your happy little family."

It all disappeared as if it were a dream and I woke up as I did before, finally seeing the concerned sides who were staring at me.

"Are you okay, Prince?", Dad said.

"That was the second time today. Do we need to get you some help?" Vergil said from beside Dad who was sitting on the ground closest to me. It looked like he had been comforting him. I looked up at the ceiling, watching as the setting sun's rays receded and as the stick on, glow-in-the-dark stars lit up in beautiful constellations.

The sides around me all started talking but it was all a blur. All I could hear was the angel's voice. Suddenly, there was a great big ball of black flames engulfed the space in front of the large bay windows at the end of the common area.

I sat up and turned so fast that I got a pounding ache in my head but I didn't care.

It was him. My angel.
